有無JM瞭解： esf幼稚園K2，5間幼稚園總數畢業生有多少？
esf小學P1，9間小學每間或是總數收多少學生？小學收幼稚園學生有無比例超過90%？或者更高？

Admission to Year 1 at ESF Primary Schools The highest ever percentage of children were successful in moving from WKS to an ESF primary school at the end of 2013/14. 95% of applicants secured places at Shatin Junior School, Renaissance College, Beacon Hill School, Kowloon Junior School and Clearwater Bay School. This figure has increased from 84% in 2012/2013 and from 68% in 2011/2012.

簡單而言；舊制是分Category 1 & 2, Cat 1是無法入讀主流學校的學生(主要是外籍不懂廣東話)； Cat 2是有能力/有權入讀主流學校的學生(即香港人)；同等條件下(例如是否有siblings)收生以Cat 1為先；新制不再分Cat 1 Cat 2但收生priority有變；詳情自行到esf.edu.hk查看。

個人理解(及經驗)；舊制是對本地學生不利；難聽d講好像似一齊去食飯但人地Siblings先起筷；Cat 1再食飽先到Cat 2食；因此過去出現Cat 2扮Cat 1；然後有學校interview時試下你係唔係識廣東話Cat 2 扮 Cat 1的傳聞；又有報稱普通話是first language又比佢round 1當Cat 1過關的故事...
不過俱往矣。

從樓上家長提供數字顯示；就算萬般不是(雖然我個小朋友讀完2年幼稚園都唔覺得好差；或者我要求低啩...)；新制下讀ESF幼稚園而上到小學係有明顯幫助。(今天輪到Siblings先食；ESF幼稚園學生再食；先輪到街外人食)。

我仲想補充一句；升小學唔係100%；可能有極少數人真係英文唔達標；亦有部份人去左第間心儀小學所以唔上ESF小學而統計出來。
其實歷史數字係死；最緊要自己係咪跟足學校指引；做好自己令小朋友英文達標；到時此地不留人；自有留人處；總比每日去打聽是否必收；收多少，點解唔收等...更實際。

Agree, 其實你做好自己，英文達標，來緊又很多新國際學校，點都有書讀的

Exactly!
Do not over-analysis the data. Data are merely a collection of information.
Remember! Application to schools are NOT random incidents.
Having more places does not mean you have more chances.
Having fewer places also does not mean you have less chances.
Also, while many people always thought that most people at ESF kindergarten aim for ESF primary, there are definitely a lot that would prefer other primary schools as well. Each year, many people simply chose to go to other primary schools instead of ESF.
So it is not like WKS has the highest "success" rate. Rather, I would say that is a percentage of "choice".
