想問下近年（1－2年內）多唔多人o係無買nomination right嘅情況下入到去讀？唔買係唔係好大機會入唔到？

It depends how urgent you need the place, which year and school you are applying. Of course your chance to get interview will be much sooner if you apply it.

We didnt buy any nomination right, and apply one yr ago in Aug 2014 for year 1. We r o lucky that my kid got an interview offer for year 2 in early Jun. And got admitted, will start at esf in coming Aug.

I am interested to know more. Why did you get the offer for year 2 instead of year 1? Did they ask you to interview for year 1 after you submitted the application? I ask this because I want to understand why it seems the year 1 interview didn't take place but they offered year 2. Thanks.

We dont have any priority. We r pure HKers, all of us r holding HKSAR passports.

We r not applied thru the central application (Sep 2013) at the time when my kid is reached the appropriated ages. We r the late submission, and after their year 1 academic year started in Aug 2014. So just queue and wait, and very lucky when i called them after few days submission, they said that they still have places for year 1, and ask if we can come to have an interview, but at that moment (Aug 2014) we r not ready to move back to HK and as we stated on the application form, we r planned to move back in Dec 2014, so they asked us to wait till next time when the hv place and will call back to us. Then in Oct 2014, we got a call fm them again and asked if we can come back a little bit earlier as now they can offer my kid an interview and hv a place for my kid if pass the interview, but again too early, we r not ready yet, so they asked us to wait again then. But after that we didnt receive any call fm them, and then i keep calling and asking each mth, and got the same reply - no place released yet, and then did the waiting list for 2015-16 academic year re-enrollment, means agreed to wait on waiting list for year 2, and i hvnt checked with them after the re-enrollment, and suddenly got a call fm them in early Jun, and said they can offer an interview for my kid and if pass the interview, can start in coming Aug (2015) for year 2.

And u can ask the admission of the sch u applied, which position is ur kid on their waiting list, they will tell u where in around.

I applied to QBS, I have been asking the status almost every month too, now I am around #40 on the waiting list, I don't know how many year(s) I have to wait for a spot.

Yes, QBS has a long waiting list, when I applied last year, I called them n asked, they said if i apply, my kids will be in around #60-70. As we r very flexible to the living location, so we called other ESF in hk island, and their wait list is shorter than other locations, and even can offer the interview for the kid.
