Quite the other way round, i dont realize there is an imminent need to identify giftedness unless the negative symptoms associated with it are doing harm to school life, social life and/or the learning process. Personally I dont take the view of identifying giftedness with a view to maximizing one's potential. Or put it in an other way, I count on an individual's interaction with people and society much more than whether he is a mathematics/science/computer genius. But being an linguistic genius is an exception. Heheheee.... |
