There are a few IS in HK where applying from BIRTH is basically mandatory:
GSIS, DBIS, Harrow & Kellett. (fellow parents do add to the list if i missed any)
Other IS usually accept applications 1-2 years prior to the year of entry, usually for Reception (age 4). Chaim, i am a bit surprised, given you were speaking to your child from birth in English (hence showing the sign of early preparation), why didn't you apply a bit earlier? May i know if you were planning to go the local route previously, or that you are new to Hong Kong? These info would help gauge what suits your child.
Nevertheless, it is still not too late. IS in HK comes in all shapes and sizes. If you are looking at Kellet, then are you aiming for UK style schools? Is learning Chinese important? What are the plans for tertiary education? Any preferred continents due to family ties or other factors? When you said Pros & Cons, are you referring specifically to Kellett or IS in general? Sorry for my many questions, just hope to give appropriate advice in accordance to your needs :) |
