這批學生都是HKALE入大學，UGC 2014 年唔再資助大學畢業生考 IELTS ，剛好 HKDSE 上場，不知是巧合或冇眼睇！

去年第一屆 HKDSE ，同時考 IELTS，成績有眼見。5** = 7.5 ...... 死未！

無論是以學院計，定以科目計，也是教育學院包尾，他們又教香港孩子英文，惡性循環，靠學校死得。

不足八成三考生得分在六至七點五分之間，為良好（Competent）或優良（Good）的英語運用者；

學左十幾二十年大學畢業，係18% 精英，英文才拿六分的，點可以叫做「良好」？平均只有六點七分，識唔識面紅的？

I think the best or average students will not choose education degree as their preferred choice because of the lack of teaching jobs.

以前的 Grant schools 的辦學團體對教育有抱負，當被教育當局收編後，根本沒有理想，只是平庸化。

you are right. 這個"良好"只是UGC刻意把"competent"和"good"錯誤翻譯。　competent（６分）是合格，good (7分）是良好。

即使政府願意高額資助尖子到國外深造，後再回港入行做教育，但多大把握人反對、眼紅，尤其是那些教師團體，甚至引來不同政見者口誅筆伐，敢就唔好怪自己下一代的英文俾人越教越差喇！

咁現有的大量本地英文老師點算。以此理論，普通話全由 native speaker 教，香港的普通話老師又無得撈，香港暴動都似。如果全部請新老師，不減現職老師，教育成本會大升，我出去暴動都似。
除了政府工外，有那一行好似教師咁受保護？但質素有目共賭。要由提高教師質素地位做起。首先香港人選科應重興趣，不只看錢，比孩子一天一小時玩耍。

18%的香港尖子，讀左十幾二十年英文拿個六，competent 我都覺得係 overstatement.

選科應重興趣，不只看錢_____________
呢樣真係好難，大家都見到那個學系將來賺錢最多，就收得成績最好的學生，我見過一個在大學修讀BBA成績一般的學生，第2年想修Finance，但因成績只能IS，但他還是不肯放棄，堅持自修Finance做second major，相信他一定是覺得讀Finance將來錢途光明一點。
