請問以HKDSE成绩到英國讀大學是否只需三年？如果比較好的大學(如top 10-20)，讀Law，成绩要求如何？HK$300k —年足夠嗎，請指教。

英國nottingham u law 收 DSE 三科 5*55

我都有留意Nottingham, 排名不錯，小城市（恐London 的大學同生活费贵，又多香港人）。又想請问到澳洲讀Law的話對將來回港考試同執業是否不及英國？我見澳洲部份大学的法律課程都好有聲望，是否值得考慮？費用是否會低—默？

As far as money is concerned, it appears that  it is more expensive in Aussie than in UK because it is a 5-year program.
Most pretigious law schools in Aussie now change the law program to postgrad course (JD). That means it is more expensive because you have to complete an undergrad course first.
According to my observation, unless you are from a top 20 law school in UK or top 5 law school in Aussie, there is not much difference in terms of competitiveness.

I thought that Australia's system is the same as that of UK. Now I have to focus on UK's.

As far as I know, Melbourne U and ANU changed its law program to JD several years ago.
Sydney U, NSW, or other top Us in Aussie only offer a 5-year double degree law program. It is therefore faster to complete an LLB if you study in UK. Having said that, an Aussie grad from a top U in Aussie is of the same competitiveness of a UK grad from a top college.

I think except the top 5 colleges, the standard is more or less the same if you study LLB in one of the top 20 colleges in UK.

A law graduate from Aussie U normally takes fewer conversion subjects in Hong Kong to qualify for PCLL application than a UK law graduate.

香港 pcll 位好少，識好多英國返黎入唔到，要有心理準備將來未必如願可以在香港做律師。去 jobsdb 睇下，好多公司請 llb 畢業生做 paralegal，可想而之，真係好多呢類人。

Recently Law Society announced that it is studying the possibility to hold their qualifying examinations so as to offer a route for non-PCLL grad to become qualifying solicitors.
