緊急請教 – 通利3-4歲兒童音樂班

請問有無家長讀緊這個課程, 如何? 有mud 野意見? mr可否分享一下? 謝謝!

因為有d朋友話唔洗讀呢d course, 要學不如直接學彈琴喎!

My daugther studied and completed this course in 2003.  For me, it looked like a singing and playing piano course.  Ususally, she only needed to use 1 or 2 fingers to play the piano.  I did consider to send my daughter to join the piano course. But Tom Lee said they would not accept the enrolment of child under 5. If you do not mind spending half of the course time to sing songs and no more better choice/option. It would be fine to join.

My daughter joined this course when she was three, and the course was for 4 years old.  But I don't like the course because the teacher spoke too fast, teaching 5 -6 topics every time.  Then my young girl was expected to play do-re-mi-fa-so-so-fa-mi-re-mi-re-do, do-re-mi-fa-so-so, fa-mi-re-mi-do.  At that time, she could not manage her fingers, and she was forever afraid now the concept of learning piano.  I was going to start one-to-one learning after 5 years old.
I think it depends on the teachers, to my daughter, it was fun, until they asked each child to come up to play the song.  Then she did not like the course because she could not do it.

Thank you for your advice, anyway, I has already pay the course and will try 1 or 2 months first.  

In fact, I have applied this course for 2 years lar (when my son was 1.5 years old). Now he is 4 years lar.

Hi BoBo_媽咪

Pro:
Its not only a piano class, it teaches some musical theory,  train their listening skills & rhythming.
Kids-orientated as there will be singing & "follow-the-act" activities every class & not just sit there which the kids will lose thier interest very soon.
Parent need to attent where I also learn & benefit from the class personally & help my kid at home.

Cons:
I find its a bit too long for the whole course & can be shorten to 18-20 mths.
Quite expensive for 2 years.
If you only expect your kid to learn piano lesson, find some other places.

my daughter will completed the 兒童音樂班 early of next year, 2005.   i chose this course instead of traditional piano class because my daughter is quite active, her attention cannot last long.   this 兒童音樂班 is more inter-active and can improve the kid-parent relationship.   if you do think it's fit for your kid, pls be prepared that your involvement is important. i.e.

1. you need to take the course with her. one student in my daughter's class are always come with her philippino maid.  you know,  a maid cannot compare with a mum at all, you cannot expect her to pay attention and teach your kid after class.  if you are a working mother, you may need to choose the class starts at 6:00 or 7:00 on weekday

2. you need to practice also such that you can refresh your kid and encourage her.  

there are fews case that the kids quit.  list some reason for your consideration:

1.  the parent cannot commit to take the course with the kid
2.  the kid found no interest in learning piano  
3. the parent said the progress of the course is too slow.  (as mentioned by other mum before, the course does not teach piano only but includes song singing.   it's understood that the note and musical theory to be taught is less than a formal piano class. so you need to think about what is the expectation you want from the course and your kid's character and interest.  hope above helps

我一向對通利開的課程都不大信心
雖然他們的老師都好叻
但係就唔係點識教人...
所以還是請其他教師吧

这个course好不好，见仁见智，个人认为最主要是看小朋友的适应性，因此很多时候一班12个学生未到1年已有约一半的学生退学，留下来除非有特别原因很多都能顺利毕业。退学的会说course不好，留下的会说course好，代表什么？

My girl is also taking Music Wonderland. We will complete the course in about 2 months. My girl and I like it very much. She learns to sing, follow instruction, rythem and some basic concept. I guess the quality depends on the trainer. Mine is very good, all kids in the class like her very much.

Some kids are accompanied my mates and of course these kids are not attenive as the others. A few dropped out after about two months but majorty stay on.

My girl took the first less at about 3 year + 4 months and she can concentrate without problems. The case is the same for other kids. The worse things that they do are to hit on the Electon without being instructed.

Personally, I would recommend the course.

我個仔剛剛上0左3堂music wonderland，佢又幾鐘意wor。

其實我個他好怕陌生人，要比較耐先可以熱身到。第一次上堂，要話係佢陪我上佢先肯出門口。去到已經想喊，頭半個鐘如坐針氈，老師用唱歌方式同佢0地點名，人人到講hihi，ar仔就講bye bye(我知佢係想走)，搞到全場大笑。

或者真好好彩，佢個老師真係好有辦法，後半個鐘ar仔開始投入，甚至走時主動舉高貼貼紙gei簿比老師睇。盧老師好好，佢會比反應小朋友，又讚下佢，最後走個時ar仔竟主動同個老師講bye bye，返到屋企就開cd聽。

我都覺得老師好緊要，個老師好清楚講比家長聽每首歌想訓練小朋友d mud 0野，我個人唔識音樂，但佢講得好深入淺出，等我返屋企知道點同個仔玩。

I waited for more than 9 months for this course so I had high expectations. But when I finally got the place and accompanied my son to attend, I was very much disappointed. I found the course content very disorganised and the teacher did a lot of different activities but they are not coherent and I could not make out what she was trying to achieve. I thought the course was to expose the kid to different music style and to instill broad musical knowledge to a kid, but clearly I was mistaken. As a result, we quit after 2 lessons. I took my son to Gymboree music when he was young and that was much better, but it is only for babies and young kids.
