西半山的幼兒園

請問西半山附近有冇好的幼兒園呢？

我的仔仔8月底就足2歲了，是否需要現在開始找幼兒園呢？其實2歲的小孩是否需要到幼兒園學習呢？還是應該等他3歲時才讓他上幼稚園呢？

我是新手媽媽，不太懂育兒知識，請大家幫幫忙！唔該晒！

I have no idea of the other kids. For me, I will have my son studying at SKH(Central) after finishing the 2nd term, he is now with Wisely 幼兒小組.

Honestly speaking, Wisely is really a good Nursery. My son's speech develop very quickly through their teaching methods. However, having considered for the future primary school allocation, I got to change to another KG. I really feel sorry doing this.

If you are considering Wisely, their primary school allocation would be the only hurdle.

Wow, my case is exactly the same as JunMama. My daughter will also shift to SKH (Central) K1 in coming Sept. Our view is exactly the same.

My daughter is studying in Wisely too. She will move to other kindergarten in K1. Wisely is a good nursery.

My boy is 20 mths now, then I'm also find N1 for him study in coming Aug 05. Would you mind share yr opinion about the Wisely?
1)Wisely is good pre-nursery school, not for K1 above?
2) Environment and learning materials are old/new?
3) Teacher?

1. Wisely is a good nursery. For K1 or above, you have more choices around. But Wisely offers new bilingual K1 class in 2005 which may be attractive to English oriented parents.

2. Environment is ok, playground has covered area, not too big. Since it's a private nusery, I think it's ok and acceptable. Learning materials, I thought you refer to the toys/books. They are fine. Actually I thought it's quite commercial. They have a lot of crafts made by pretty color papers. (My daughter used recycle/newspaper in Caritas playgroup)

3. Teachers are nice, kids focus, willing to communicate with parents.

My daughter is 2 year and 4 months now. She loves to go to school and always say teacher and friends' name. I can tell she really enjoys the life at Wisely.

Sorry, my reply comes late.

1. Their nursery class is definitely good.  I have no idea of K1, but their primary allocation really worries me.  Before I went on searching for new KG, I have asked the teacher of the statistics and she sound reluctant to disclose that made me feel that their allocation is not so satisfactory.

2. Re: environment and materials, I agree with Abbie_mimi---they are commercial.  Ah, perhaps you would like to know that that K1 and above have their classrooms down on the basement.  Some parents do not like that but I have visited the school campus and I find it nice and clean.

My son has been studying there 1 year now and he enjoys very much the class activities. He is so proud of himself.  He views his handicraft works quite frequently and keep telling me how good he had done and how he did them.  It is sweet !

3. Re: Teachers are nice, same as Abbie_mimi.

Wisely is worth a start for 2 year old kids in the district unless you are so eager to have an English-based learning environment.  To learn self-caring, sharing and let them enjoy going to school is enough at this early stage.  Right ?

I think most of the comment by JunMaMa & Abbie_mimi are to me. My girl join there from Oct till now, she enjoys the school like very much and even asked for going to school during long holiday like X'mas & CNY. So I believe they really can take care kids very well.

Also, my girl likes singing very much after she joined this school. To my knowledge, the 校監of this school emphasize on learning through singing which she believes is the best way for kids to learn happily.

I don't consider to studying K1 there is because of the primary school allocation as mentioned by JunMaMa.

As choices for N1 around this district are limited, so I would recommend this one to you.
