Agree!! K1 will usually begin with a-z sounds in phonics, then will learn double sounds and blending. Blending is the more important part of phonics, it helps children to read and combine the sounds. It also builds confidence in English. I personally don't think K2 is late for learning phonics, it really does depend on your child's interest in the programme and materials. You can always find support materials at home or from book shops, like flash cards, music videos, or phonics games to play with them, build their interest first. And even if their school is teaching phonics, it will compliment what they do there. So I think even if you don't learn phonics until K2, you can always introduce it to your child through games and music.

I think Letterland is more interesting for young kids, but they are not really able to use the skill to read the words at such early stage

For Jolly, not sure if you can check with the centre and do the so-called "testing", if your kids can recognize all the capital & small letters, and able to write the letters, sure be fine to start with Jolly

And, I tried the "testing" for Dr I-kids, it's free of charge, and they will provide some recommendations (but only phonics or Cambridge) to you. (FYI, I didn't join their class at the end, hehe)
