Thank you Tommy for your advice. I believe your son is also studying in Wymondha ... In fact, all the names, email address as well as the telephone numbers of the senior staff working in Wymondham College were uploaded in their school website. If you have seriously read their website, you must find it.
However, I don't suggest you go direct to the Head Teacher (Principal). Firstly, the Principal will not come to Hong Kong for the admission interviews. Two senior teaching staff will come instead. Secondly, please do not mind I'm a very straight-forward person that, being a parent of Wymondham, I would expect our Principal focus on managing the school affairs rather than managing the candidates' parents.
Furthermore, I don't think the crazy HK style 叩門 will work in Wymondham College. The admission affairs In Wymondham College, I think it's the same in other UK schools, is led by the Admission Registrar. All the applications must start from the Admission Registrar and go through a series of standard procedures. Unlike the Hong Kong elite schools Principals who have absolute power to determine who's in and who's out, British people set a very good and fair system in many aspects, including the admission policy. They will adhere to the admission policy and the agreed priority in the selection process. In case, there are two applicants carrying the same scores and same priority, they will do a lottery by authorized persons to decide which one to take. Only those very exceptional cases, the Admission Registrar will make a proposal to the Principal and then he makes a final decision.
So, in my opinion, meeting the Principal doesn't help too much. The appropriate contact point should be the Admission Registrar. I would suggest you keep contact with the Registrar and update your kid's information to them when he achieves any good results or performance.
I am so sorry that I really get sick of the HK crazy style 叩門. I just want to protect the good system and tradition run by the British people.
By the way, my younger son will take part in an admission interview on 24th October and we are invited to attend another meeting regarding my elder son's affairs on 27th October conducted at AA. You can test you luck anyway.
Tommy
