Agree, 九龍塘同康怡地點差好遠， 小朋友幾歲人仔近屋企好D， 有咩事快手返到屋企或者搵到人幫。

both of my son are studying in Victoria one is k3 one is PN both of them love to go to school everyday .
Yes is seems like not much home work but the teaching method and those materials  that Victoria give to my two sons  are really good specially they use difference method to encourage my son to study n learn from play.  in my opinion IB system  is quite suitable for a boy who cannot follow  Trandition way of repeatedly writing a Chinese word and English word.

We had the same question. Husband and I had made decisions over these two schools in terms of a lot of factors such as locations, courses, school environments, etc. Both schools are 15 mins driving distance (when there's no traffic) away from where we live. Both schools focus on languages teachings. Finally we decided to choose York due to (1) newer and larger campus, while that in LK Victoria is way too small with very limited windows and open / outdoor space. (2) For the money that we are going to spend, we think we can get more from York, such as complusory Tennis class and I dont have to go thru the trouble in enrolling my kid to those language tests. (3) my kid enjoyed the interview more in York than Victoria. (4) I must say the teachers we met in Victoria are very experienced and impressive. However, both husband and I felt more love and care from York than Victoria. (5) We have done some researches on Jolly Phonics and Letterland. We prefer the way how Letterland is structured. None of us can stand the Jolly Phonics DVD. So, York is our choice!

Thanks for sharing your consideration.  Am I right that york is better for kids going to International schools while victoria is better for local schools?  Not quite sure how york teach chinese...

oh really. so york's chinese teaching is strong too? very taxing on parents and students in terms of homework? all students go straight to K1?

if you compare P1 allocation results of both schools(you can find it on their websites), York has only 20% students got into DSS/private schools (with 52% of student results did not disclose) while Victoria(i used HG for comparison) roughly 76% of their students got into DSS/private schools in the end. Based on these numbers from their websites, I think victoria is better if you target DSS/private schools for your child.
