Does anyone living in HK Island (Western) and send their kids to 油麻地保良局陳守仁?
I have just heard about the school, sound like a great school for us, but moving to live in Kowloon is very unlikely.

Please share your thoughts if you have kids there. Thanks a lot.

昨天去校內的Fun day, 知道有些家長是住香港東, 香港西有冇就不知, 但不少是新界好遠的地方, 其實周圍都有, 不過有些說是自己送, 因冇校車或太久, 我地住新界東, 有校車不過要1小時. 如香港我估大多數會坐MTR東涌線, 最快奧運站下車經商場行10分鐘,

有親戚個仔仔係陳守仁讀，佢當年係放棄一間傳統名校入讀的。

讀了幾年，聽佢講都係讚多，佢小朋友亦讀得開心，行出來有自信。主要係話吳算太谷，兼重視語文，除英文，在學校可學多一種外語，佢小朋友學法文。另外，係學費平，一年一萬幾元，但校園設施齊全。

最大缺點係無中學，升中又要煩過。

The fee is only $10,000 a year?? Is this a typo? That's just a few hundred a month? I heard it's over $7,000 a month right?

每月學費1480, 收10期。其他雜費冇乜, 只係有時要捐錢比保良局咁囉。
我兩個小朋友讀得好開心, 講真千幾蚊, 去補習英文 + 學游水 + 學日文(我兩個選日文not法文)...都係返度啦。我本身住元朗架, 校車一個月1800一個人, 貴過學費, 所以自己接送兩個返學, 放學姐姐帶坐西鐵返屋企。

呢間學校都好多人考, 今年5800人報名, 正式交齊文件既都有5300。收生170左右。good luck!

I heard they have quite a good mixed of foreign and local kids. Are there any oversea returned Chinese with limited Chinese capability? (well, we are catching up now

)

I assume a school that accepts foreign kids would be much lenient on the Chinese capability requirement, isn't it?

回流學生都有(不過係咪新加坡人就唔知呀=p), 當中有d 係唔識講/睇中文的, 咁佢地就可以apply non-chinese student既位。學校會收20-25% ncs, 佢地平時主科係英文同法文, 中文都要學, 但程度較低。
ncs 都多人爭架, 有d mix 既小朋友 or 父母都係外國人既小朋友, 都會黎呢度考。

I checked out the location map.... Looks a bit difficult if we go to school from Central. Even if I drive him to school, my way returning to HK Island would be caught in the jam too...

開放日應該係出年4月27號, 到時有學生大使介紹學校, 不過勁快full。所以你預自己係入面行黎行去睇下野咁啦。會有小朋友既功課, 學校設施任你睇
之後應該7月有簡介會, 網上報名, 但又係好快比人報哂。之不過佢地會upload上網成個片段家長可以睇返。

小一報名唔用表, 只係網上報名。之後係指定日期交返其他文件, 如出世紙及成績表等。不過你唔洗準備portfolio, 佢地係唔收既。你預8月左右就開始報, 兩個星期報名時間。
