讀寫障礙?

小女今年5歲,她的記憶力很差很差,和她溫習英文字如slide, swing或默寫中文字如街道,每次溫習完不到半小時就巳經忘記,我好想知這是不是那些所謂的"讀寫障礙"?須要看醫生嗎?有沒有家長曾經遇到同一樣的問題呢?請賜教。

你女兒是剛满5歲嗎? slide, swing, 街道等, 這些字對她來說, 是否太深呢?
你是要求她寫還是認?

These words are the homework of her kindergarten. She is now in K.3. She need to write as well as to spell those words.

Thank you 77777, I am using the phonics way to teach her all the way long since her kindergarten does emphasis a lot on phonics, the problem is she really have a very short term memory!

Dear WTY
Do you try some positive reinforcement to encourage your kid to memeorise it? My daughter also forget the words veryquickly initially. But she is now better with some rewards and I have to ask her very frequently for the spelling and revise the Chinese words weekly. Now, she has no problem in English but still short-term memory in Chinese. I think our kids are studying in the same kg, see whether we can share some experience. Is your kid a 細女?

I know a teacher specialized on dealing kids have this problem. However, she's now in vacation and would be back after X'mas. If you are interested, I can pm her contact to you later on.

My daughter is studying in SC also. Is it quick exhausting to prepare for the weekly revision? But it is quite helpful to me cos I will not accumulate the Chinese words for my girl. Best wishes.

It is far too early to tell whether a child is having dyslexia or not at the age of 5. Kids (even western ones) are not supposed to spell these kind of words at this young age anyway.
