My son got an offer from YMCA Int'l Pre-K 5 Day Climbers class. Any mummy's kid study there before? Is the teacher nice there? I heard the school style is quite free and no pressure on academics? Well, my son is the super active type and can't sit still, I think the school arrange K1/K2 to go swimming or other activities there. Pls share comments.

My daughter will be joining Pre-K Climbers too in coming Sept 2012. What I heard from my friends it's a caring school.

Thats great to know your daughter will be going there too. I supposed the teacher will be more embracing for those active boys like my son. We actually forfeit the admission of those traditional KLN Tong kinder which requires stricter discipline.

Is your friend's kid in Climber's class or K1? Do you know if the Climber's class student can mostly like to get a spot from K1? The school staff said I have to fill in a separate K1 admission form in Oct. Also, does your friend say there are lots of Indian student there?

我囡囡正在YMCA返playgroup, 如果唔係路程比較遠，我絕對會揀佢N班，而家小女上左半年左右，學左好多英文，超越我expect,我諗住主要比女女響plagroup同多啲小朋友玩下，但佢上完都學左好多英文，好似天氣，星期幾咁呢啲抽象既名詞都識，佢地係全英語，一班playgroup有7、8人但有兩個miss, 雖然係印度藉，但全部都係黎自英國，加拿大畢業，而且費用唔貴，三個月先六千幾一星期返三曰每日兩個鐘，我都推薦比我啲朋友

我個女大約舊年八月歲半時開始返YMCA，到現在返左差不多九個月，最初有家長陪，到兩歲就自己上！其實再之前都返過兩三間playgroup，但最好都係呢間

I have got 2 friends sending their children to YMCA TST, one in Climbers (Pre-K) and one in K-1. Both gave me positive comments about the school - caring to the kids, no pressure and fun. Yes they told me there are students of different nationalities, including Indians and Japanese. I observed that my friend's son (the K-1 boy) speaks very good English (like a native speaker). Since his parents do not speak like that it must be from the school.
I guess students from Pre-K would be given priority when applying K-1.

有啊！不過我想阿女適應多啲所以比佢返三日，佢上完一排好活潑，成日同我講school啲野，佢啲同學大部分有indian，Japanese, Korean, 一定要全英先溝通到，而且啲老師好caring, 我班入面有個妹妹對某啲食物敏感唔食得餅，有日替徦miss唔知比左佢食少少，另一老師即刻十分緊張同佢家長講，仲緊張過個媽咪，所以我好放心女女響果度讀，可惜我住得遠，佢地又無校車，如果唔係我實比佢返埋N班

Tks a lot for your info Leepee! I'm very keen of their Climber's class now and hope my son can fit in there. Does your friend planning to let their sons to study there till K3 and then goto international school for P1?

I guess if they don't teach Chinese and no homework, it would be hard to goto traditional P1.
