派位組別劃分是否包含已成功獲自行分配學位的學生？ - 升中派位

如果你有考呈分試就有派位組別。姑勿論你最後參加派位與否，抑或最終因被直資取錄而要放棄派位資格。

派位組別是要有齊晒三次(有學校是兩次，亦有些是四次)呈分試的分數之後才有組別。所以自行階段是沒有組別之分，只是學校老師跟據以往的成績排列，對比之後而估計出大約組別以方便我地去選擇適當的組別學校而已。

自行階段時，每所中學都會向教局呈上所報名的學生名單，以便確認有沒有人報了超過兩間學校，而同時學校會得到教局一份學生在這所中學的申請人中的成績排名先後，沒有名次，只有次序。而這個排名就是跟據頭兩次的呈分資料而排列。

統一派位不論甲乙部，每人都是用相同的隨機號碼用於甲部和乙部。排完甲部全港的組別才排乙部本區的組別。

You provided a detail explanation of rank order list.
I guess the post initiator would like to know, after self-discretion stage, say 20% students are allocated, how to allocate the 80% students by banding.

如果沒理解錯的話：三次呈分試後即確定了，學生的全港/各學區的組別。組別不會因直資錄取或自行收生而產生任何變化，但統一派位時各組別內剩餘的學生數目是變化的。

或者我補充一下：
教局排banding跟統一派位的大抽獎係兩條隊。總之學校一有呈分就有banding，雖然有banding，但唔係個個都會參加大抽獎，但電腦係唔會理你，佢係唔會扣番起果d唔參加派位又或者自行已被取錄那一批學生的banding而重新係餘下參加大抽獎的學生裡重新排一次banding。假設在自行收生階段，成功被取錄的以band 1學生最多，band 2學生次之，最少的是band 3學生，若是扣除這班學生而將餘下學生重新排過banding的話，最終band 1生和band 2生的數目將會大量增加。

我地之前都有討論過油尖旺就係出現左同學的banding下滑的問題。主要的原因就是女小拔的同學參加左呈分，囊括大量band 1學位，但又唔參加派位。最終只會將其他的同學的banding推下。

How about before lucky draw? They will take away the allocated students from the banding list or not?

當個同學一但有全港和全區banding排名一出，這個排名就唔會變更該亦唔會取消，直至今年的升中派位整個程序完成為止。

例：假若今年有15,000個band 1生，15,000個band 2 生和15,000個band 3生。(總數45,000人)
      其中有5,000個band 1生和 5,000個 band 2生在直資和自行階段已被取錄，
      餘下10,000個band 1生，10,000個band 2生和15,000個 band 3生去參與統一派位。(餘數35,000)
      教局係唔會將這35,000人重新排banding一次，只會沿用之前你獲得之banding去分配。

My son's primary school has 60%+ Band 1 students every year. I had an impression that many students got the places through DSS, PS and self-discretion stage, then the rest will rearrange again, that's why so many band 1 students. The principal encouraged top band 1 students to aim for top schools and left other chances for Band 2 classmates moved to band 1 in lucky draw.

Today, I know it's not true.

你的校長又講得對。的確係將一些top band 1的同學鼓勵去其他區的top band 1不論直資或自行的學校，的確係會將本區的band 1學額騰空讓其他band 1尾或甚至band 2頭的同學都可能有機會抽到。當然這個數目始終少數。
至於某些學校多band 1位，我想信係因為同學在PreS1的成績好而已。有時我好奇問小朋友某些名小學d學生成績怎麼樣，他說平均的確係高於水平。所以小學的band 1數目的確反映左某程度上學術水平和學生質數。

My son was in a basic local school only, not elite school. But pretty good in the district, I loved that, because not much homework.
I know some primary's standard really really high....
