心理學並無必修科目既要求, CU只要一個選修科目3級已足夠, 當然要睇埋對手既成績, 2011年A-LEVEL 收生成績如下:

想請教khmama或其他家長，Upper Quartile 應該係頭三份一成績最勁果班學生的平均成績，對嗎？Median應該次之。但點解Median果班學生的三科A Level成績比Upper Quartile更佳？就算計埋兩科中、英文，好似都係打個和。其實應該點樣解讀呢三個Quartile呢?謝謝！

Quartile唔係計平均成績既, 而係將學生由低至高排好次序, 第25%o個位既成績係lower quartile, 第50%o個位既成績係median, 第75%o個位既成績係upper quartile. 下面係維基既example.

Example 1
Data Set: 6, 47, 49, 15, 42, 41, 7, 39, 43, 40, 36
Ordered Data Set: 6, 7, 15, 36, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 47, 49

Method 1	Method 2
Q1 = 25.5 Q2 = 40 Q3 = 42.5	Q1 = 25.5 Q2 = 40 Q3 = 42.5

Example 2
Ordered Data Set: 7, 15, 36, 39, 40, 41

Method 1	Method 2
Q1 = 25.5 Q2 = 37.5 Q3 = 39.5	Q1 = 15 Q2 = 37.5 Q3 = 40

但這裡我都唔係好明, 可否講明D呢, 唔該

孩子需要鼓勵, 適當的稱讚和鼓勵,
會使他更努力去完成任務, 對自己更有自信.
在小朋友的學習過程中，父母的啟發與鼓勵是十分重要。

唔該晒！人老左，好似愈來愈蠢，又無記性。

我其實仲有dd唔明，大學計Quartile的排位次序，係好似中五會考咁簡單地將咁多科等級加起來？還是根據學系本身要求，某些指定科目會加大權重？

就以您上面心理學為例，明明Median的 A Level成績比 Upper Quartile 好喎！就算計埋中、英文科，該兩名學生的得分都好似一樣喎！會唔會中、英文科的權重特別高呢？

又以中大去年收生為例，http://www.cuhk.edu.hk/adm/jupas-grades/2011.html

在Integrated BBA 裡處於Median的那位同學的成續好似比 Upper Quartile那位同學稍好喎！

在BBA - JD 裡處於Lower Quartile的那位同學的成續好似又比 Median那位稍好喎！

所以，我其實睇黎睇去都唔係好明佢地點計。會唔會每一科都有不同的權重呢？

Khmama explained that clearly the concept of median not equal to average grade.

Moreover, your guess on weighing also correct, like Engineering, may consider Maths and Physics more than other subjects, BBA consider English more weighing. If you read CUHK,s admission grades, they also list out HKCEE median, they also count ~25-30% HKCEE results in selection process as weighed scores. So weighing need to consider.two exam results and special requirement on subjects,

You can search either JUPAS, or UGC or individual university web site of "Admission Grades".

UGC - Same as JUPAS

HKU

Different university may have some minor difference to present the data, they also provide explanation of their methods.
