各位MAMI好, 我係一名新手MAMA.
想問:KINGSTON'S PLAYGROUP係咪好難入?打電話去問,姐姐話已經FULL晒,之後收既信都係WAITING LIST~咁係咪唔駛再寄信,無咩機會IN?

您好，
我大約在囡囡四個月大時入申請表，到一歲左右收到通知interview，一星期後通知取錄。kingston通常有位先會interview，但你可以間中打去問下情況有無得in，d職員都好nice。

My son is 0912 baby.  I submitted an application to Kingston in May 2010 and interviewed in March 2011.  He started the playgroup in Aug 2011.
You can send them an application anyway!

Hi, may I know what would they ask in the interview as I have been arranged to have interview in mid of Jan 2012. But my son is only 12m and cannot speak at all. Personally, I like the small class of this school. Hope to receiving your feedback

Hi Sal Sal,

The interview I had consists of two sessions.

First Section, meeting with Ms. Kwok in her office, she introduced us (my husband and I) details of the playgroup and its curriculum etc. Asked us why we applied to this school, very simple questions.  just like chatting.  She also brought us to the classroom to visit the playgroup class.

Second Section, meeting with a foreign lady (a teacher) in a classroom, she asked us details about our son, like what playgroup he had attended before, daily routine, who looks after him etc.  While she was 'interviewing' us, my son was playing different toys in the classroom.  The teacher did observe him for a while when he was playing but didn't really ask him any questions as he was too young to speak at that time.

Hi maggiemai77,

Kingston is charging relatively higher fees compared to the playgroups offered by other kindergartens.  Whether or not it is worthy, it really is a matter of opinion.  Some think it does, others think it doesn't.  It has a good reputation in training kids languages.  I suppose one of the most attractive factors is that once our kids are admitted to its playgroup, they can progress to its PN and K without any assessments or interviews.  

Just in case you are interested in this school, the tuition fees basically cover everything in the playgroup, like art and crafts, snack and drinks, school trip to park etc.  Unlike other schools, it doesn't impose extra fees on class activities.
