I got an offer from 衛理堂 N1 last year but I finally chose 香港民生 as 衛理堂 mainly teach in Cantonese and won't have English class until K1 / K2, and their English class is talking about 2 lessons a week.
we went for an interview last year. i know this school is famous, but i did not agree with what the headmaster said to the parents in her presentation last year.
i took a copy of their newsletter home. when i read the first 2 articles, i found that both the headmaster and the alumnae were trying to "show off" their own qualifications.
my boy was born in August. Although he could finish everything that the teacher asked him to do, he was still in waiting list. i think they really like 大仔。
i guess this school prefers alumni, church-mates or families with old kids studying there. if you have no connections, no need to waste your time.
ffaye, I'll stay for K1 unless there is another famous chain school that give me an offer. As I live nearby, I rather want to save the cost of school bus for the tuition fee. It isn't worth for me to switch to another kinder without primary school backup (should be one I believe that is good enough). How about you? You moved to Kowloon side already? So, you must apply Kowloon Tong's kinder, right? Will you go to the school picnic on 26th?
Yes we are applying for kinder on the kowloon side and we will miss the picnic because of this reason. I was hoping that we can join but too bad that it crashes with the interview.
I like Man Sang very much and it will not be easy when we need to make a decision later. Will wait and see.....
ffaye, in fact the 26th also crashes my interview with 聖瑪加利大 but I decide to go to the picnic instead. After weighting the pros and cons, I think I'll prefer to stay at Man Sang even 聖瑪加利大 give me an offer so I decide to skip that interview. We look forward to our first school picnic and it should be quite funny .
