Which church is better for my kid?
I'm not a catholic.
My 17 mths girl want to join the catholic. We live in Homantin waterloo Road.

At least one of the parents need to be Catholic for a child to get baptised before the age of 3 and the parents should be married in a Catholic church. If the latter is not satisfied, you can contact your church for 補禮證書. Not sure if your home falls in St. Teresa's or Rosary Church or .... (sorry about my Kowloon geography). FYR, below info is from St. Teresa's Church:
登記嬰兒領洗之家長注意事項

1. 領洗嬰兒之家庭居於本堂範圍 (有關區域範圍，可向堂區辦事處查詢)
　　　
2. 嬰兒應是三歲或以下(以領洗日期計)；父母親其中一方必須為天主教徒。
　　
3. 取得嬰兒出生證明書後到堂區辦事處辦理登記，為避免有關程序及文件的交接，因委托別人或親人辦理
　　可能產生不必要的延誤，故此有關事項必須由嬰兒父或母親自辦理。

4. 登記時須遞交下列文件正副本，每申請人各自一份。文件不齊，恕不處理。(正本核對後即時退回)。
　 i) 嬰兒出生證明書
　ii) 父母親結婚證書或補禮證書
　iii) 父母親領洗紙 (只為教友一方)
　iv) 候洗嬰兒代父母領洗紙
　v) 家庭生活照一張 (3R尺寸)

5. 登記手續及文件必須於領洗前三星期辦妥，否則領受聖事日期將會順延。
　 i) 父親和母親及代父或母必須出席本堂安排的家長聚會，兩小時。若其中一方未能出席，領受聖事日期將會順延。
　ii) 堂區神父在受洗前進行家庭探訪，如未能進行家訪，領受聖事日期將會順延

If neither of the parents are Catholic, you can attend catechism classes 慕道團 to learn about and confirm your Faith.

But my kid born on 2X Mar2010. Just 3yrs old before easter. So, can I join the 慕道班 in time ?

You (or your husband) are Catholic? There are some dioceses offering baptism other than Easter and Christmas, e.g. St. Margaret's is having one on 主保瞻禮 in Oct), you can check with your church.

If neither of the parents is Catholic, then most churches will require the parents to attend catechism classes with the child, to ensure that you can nuture his/her Faith. My friend was asked to do so by a priest.

我自己９月會返慕道班，好似５可以同小朋友一齊返．．．如果佢４歲可以返主日學，　通常要幾耐先可以領洗？？　我想可以同佢一齊領洗．

oic. I guess the class you are going to attend is for adults only. For adults, usually you need to attend catechism class for 1 year (for our church, St. Margaret's, it seems that there are pre and post catechism classes, so total around 1.5 years before baptism).

I have limited knowledge on non-baptised child attending 主日學. From Cathedral's website (http://cathedral.catholic.org.hk/c_SundaySchool2/ParentsInfo.pdf), under item 3, a child should be able to be baptised after attending 2 years of 主日學 but one of the parent should be Catholic. I guess you can always discuss the situation with the priests or sisters, so that you and your child can be baptised at the same time.

I've checked for a friend's daughter last year, if both parents are NOT catholic, even the kid attends sunday school, the kid won't be able to get baptised till he/she get to 1x years old + (the church thinks they are not mature enough to make up such a decision at a younger age)

如果家長領洗時，子女超過三歲就要睇神父批准與否，如果自己都未上慕道班，就問定超過三歲子女到時可唔可以領洗，睇怕就算連神父都未答到你，因為你自己都未了解天主教信仰，都唔知自己會唔會信，又唔知你到時願唔願受洗，神父點批准你超過三歲的子女同時受洗呢？不如你坐言起行，立即報名上慕道班喇！

From my understanding and experiences, if parents are non-catholic and the child is so young, one of the parents is need to attend the catechism class.  Post the catechism class, the child is eligable to baptize together with the parent.  However, the class is roughly 2 yrs long, so you need to bear in mind about the timing.
I think each church has different schedule for sunday school.  For Rosery church, the Sunday school is really on Saturday and the child need to be 5 yrs old.
check with each church for more information.  Hope this help.
