Due to my family problem, we are considering holding back now.
Anyone knows what happen if I withdraw the student from school now, yes, just before the start of term (new entry to boarding school UK) next week!
I know the deposit will be forfeited, will they really ask for a term,s fee as penalty?
Write a polite letter to the head of school immediately and explain your unexpected change of circumstances. He or she should understand your financial situation and any decent person would not force you to pay more than what you have paid by way of deposit because any decent school should be able to find a replacement without great effort.

The requirement for withdrawal without one term.s notice was explictly written in the statement.and I am not sure if they will take action, in fact the deposit paid already amounts to a term.s fee. Hopefully it can compensate their lost and understand our difficult situation.
But the agent in HK seems not...

Did you sign any contract with that HK agent to the effect that in the event of your withdrawal, you will compensate that agent for the loss of his commission?
