I can only tell you so far I have not heard of anyone got a real rejection, so except those got accepted, seems everyone is on waiting list!

last year, my boss's son was on waiting list and got 2nd interview at jul-aug.  he's ok finally and now studying at there.

so i think the seats for waiting list depends on how many accepted students withdraw their seats.

I think it's not must for "waiting list" having 2nd interview.  I know two cases.


My boss's son applied 2004 K1.  I don't know if it was stated "rejected" or "waiting list" on the letter.

His son has a twin sister which is accpeted by SC after 1st interview.  My boss wrote several letters to SC.  Finally, his son had 2nd interview which the questions are almost the same as the 1st one.


I know another case that a boy was born in Year 2000.  He applied 2003 K1 and was on waiting list.  I don't know if the parent wrote any letter, but I'm sure he didn't call for 2nd interview.  In Sep2003 (ie. he was in K1 of another kindergarten for few weeks), SC called the parents and said they have a seat for his son.  Then, the boy changed to SC afterwards.

By the time we got a 2nd interview, we have paid for the exercise books, school uniforms, etc at another school, right?

I thought we could have a 2nd interview immediately after some parentss have released their places.

my son is on waitlist too. I called SC and asked how do they set priority on waitlist, they said they don't set priority on waitlist.....
but if not, who are they going to call first when there are unfilled seats after registration, by alphabetical order, ha ha!! That's ridiculous! I asked that question because they did tell me there are rejections as well as waitlist. But I have not heard of anyone got a formal rejection, I would like to know the exact wording of the rejection letter, if indeed it exists!

I think there are 2 kinds of letters.  1) acceptance; and 2) waiting list.

And I agree with Lam&HimM that they will call the one who writes to request a seat.  It's because there are a lot of waiting list, how they select the replacement......
