Both are good schools, and also half-day Catholic schools. So, it will be difficult to say which is better objectively.
Concerning promotion to S1, then SPPCS is definitely having higher chance. As of last year, their seats reserved for own feeder schools are 99, as they have 5 classes of secondary (but just 4 classes of primary schools). I have checked and they didn't participate in the class-cutting project so I would assume this will continue.
So, if you can maintain band 2 then should be very much safe. You can look at approx. 80-85% promotion rate.
For SHCS, historically the promotion rate in the past few years to SHCC is approx. 65-70%. Not all band 2 can be accepted due to the limited number of seats, but if consider they will also keep the repeaters and door-knocking seats for own students, the actual promotion rate should well exceed 70%.
This is just for reference, but it is better for you not to use the mere fact of promotion rate as the sole basis for your decision.
