係呀！那麽冷門，爲什麽要學？學了也找不到同樣的語言環境（除非你打算移民）。

如果讀法律，就有很多拉丁文要記。看看法律字典你就知道拉丁文有多難了！

要學外語，還是首選英文和普通話吧！

其實如小朋友已打好英文和普通話既根基，學拉丁文對學習拉丁語系語言好有幫助（incl French,Italian,Spanish,Portugese). 真係可以做到一理通百理明．不過我個人覺得為小朋友選擇課外活動千萬吾好過量，一定要睇小朋友係邊方面係talented先會事半功倍．不過我都吾知邊度有得讀．

學習語言, 沒有實習及運用機會, 我不相信能有好效果.

若堅持有需要, 便看看靈格風有沒有自學課程吧!

讀神學、考古和文學都會接觸很多拉丁文字眼
除了法律用字, 很多花朵、動物名稱都是拉丁文來
據我所知,外國的大學仍有選修科目
我也很好奇,你的小朋友為甚麼學拉丁文?而不是想普通話,甚至是日文?

個人認為學習語言無論是什麼，都有其價值所在及樂趣，學習拉丁文的技巧，有助於學習及領略到其他歐洲國家語言，我欣賞歐洲國家藝術文化，如女兒可以認識到，她亦可有這個機會去認識得深入些，懂得真正的去欣賞藝術，對她的生命或會增添更多色彩罷。這是我童年時沒有的機會，當我在英國讀書的時候，我是很欣賞朋友中有這本領的人，他們比我更投入，這不是他們的天份，是他們有接觸過，當然我不會強迫女兒做我未能做到的，但至少他有這機會。

我對拉丁文一點都不會, 但my son 對拉丁文卻有小許的認識, 好奇怪吧! 我沒有刻意引導佢, 而是給予他充份的學習自由而引至.
他是很喜歡研究考古, 看很多關於考古的書. 而陪他閱讀時我才發現其中很多名稱是源自latin & greek 文, 而很多書都會有explain 這些字在英文的意思& 讀音. 而latin文雖然好長, 但其實只是一些組合, 亦不復雜, 你將個字拆開, 就會知道佢意思, 讀多幾個字就會掌握到其他的發音.
認識latin 文可以增加他對此科目的興趣, 但我暫時未考慮讓他去精通這個語言, 所以冇打算給他學, 除非佢有此要求.

如果你好想你女兒試下, 我建議你先從一個科目開始, 如古生物, 神學, 醫學..., 當然最好有一定的英文基礎, 在library不難找一些故事書內有幾個latin文, 而又有explain 的.
另我幫你查過, hk central library 6/f 的語言學習室有學latin的 tape, 可以bring 你女兒去聽下.

我讓my son 有充份的學習自由, 目的是鼓勵他閱讀, 要他充實自己, 豐富生活. 希望你能多發現你女兒的興趣.

我覺得其實你只需要一本拉丁文字典,因為呢種係一種已死既語言.冇錯,唔同既學科書本上會提到,拉丁文亦係西歐語系既根源.睇多呢D,會明多D英文甚或其他歐洲文字.但係到左今日,相信呢個世界除左神神職人員會學來唸拉丁文禱詞.同埋學聲樂既人唱彌撒曲之外,都冇乜人重用緊拉丁文來溝通.換言之,除左老師同學(假如有的話),你唔會搵到一個環境可以練習.學習語言,最基本既聽講寫讀都做唔得齊,咁又點可以學到?

掌握佢既語法不如掌握佢既詞彙,咁樣可能成效重大.

既然拉丁文係西歐語系既根源，以前小孩甚至農夫都說拉丁文，點解時至今天幾近失傳？
大胆假設一個可能性係拉丁文的複雜性，複合法和可以引申的意義已不再合適，所以演變到今天各國不同的語言．

至於說可以加強英語的認識這點，我認為如果小朋友有興趣研究字的意義，如同中文字形或象形文字，都未嘗不可，只係小小睇法

西方語系既根源是拉丁文，在希臘的神話故事中有很多拉丁語，正如東方的中國古文，兩者有很大的智慧在背後，諗下，兩者都好值得我去認識多D，好讓我可讓我的女兒去學習。多謝你們的發表，對我有很大的啟發呵！

就叫做Volare,大肥佬Paravotti唱過,我聽既係意大利文版,不過你呢隻又唔係.我未諗到係咩文,總之唔係法意德英日.不過我知佢一行成串字其實唔係一個字,亦唔係拉丁文,而係將成句既字母連起哂一齊.
畫面下面閃過一行字仔,個D就係德文.

你個問題好有趣,我會繼續搵答案.

The title of the song is "Volare" (To fly). If I'm correct, the original name is "Nel blu, dipinto di blu" (In the blue, painted blue), an italian song. The version OLmommy mentioned is sung by Gypsy Kings. Most of the lyrics is Spanish but the chorus part is Italian. The words on that "karaoke screen" seem to me something like "pinyin", not the actual lyrics.
