Hi Amen,

My son was 7 1/2yrs old. He is taking concerta 27mg right now for about 3 mths after the doctor cfmd that he is ADHD kid. B4 i know him is an ADHD kid(b4 7years old). I thought how come my son cannot follow instrustion, cannot concentrate, bad short memory and always complaint by the class teacher. Then my husband and i send him do behavior therapy (1hr/week)for more than a year.But it was not help much. We just think maybe he is a naughty boy but after cfmd by the doctor and discussion we decided let him to take the medication. But after he started the medication, he is keeping lost his weight b'cos of no appetite, not easy to sleep at night, sometimes depression.
My mother in law said his lovely smiling is disappear. I was so upset and everyone is worry about him b'cos recently his face looks like a drug addictor (skinny face w/panda eye). Now i am struggling whether i should stop the medication or keep on going the medication.I am very agree yr point on yr passage, We have to do much more for ADHD kid. So i really want to know the info about the 中医師 and the EPA omega-3 info cos i am much more concern about his health. Thanks for yr help.

P.S i will let the doctor know and consult the doctor if he take EPA omega 3.

安排他去游水啦！一來操fit個人，二來睡眠問題一定可以幫到，第三促進新陳代謝可以減低副作用，第四運動本身可以增加專注力。
如果不能游水，就做一些帶氧運動，一星期兩三次已有很大幫助。

如果有太多副作用,你要同醫生講睇下應否轉藥,另外我有叫醫生開(開胃藥)俾他,少食多餐,試下飲加營素,我有帶我囝囝去針灸,暫時一個月先有一、二次失眠!

食concerta，話就話有效時間係12小時，但有時有些小朋友體質關係，分解藥份較慢，藥力可以去到14小時都有，剛好到佢地要睡覺時藥力就退。問題是，有些人藥力退時，會有反彈作用，即係小朋友會比平時更“活躍”，所以會瞓唔著。

遇到這種情況可以：
1。再早些食藥，晚上藥力早些退，不要剛好在睡覺時間退
2。做運動 （日間）
3。睡前預半小時給小朋友做一些靜態的活動，不要溫習，不看刺激的電視節目或打機
4。轉一隻藥效較短的，例如 ritalin (4小時）或者 ritalin LA (8小時）

我仔食左CONCERTA都似道友呀，本身佢身材適中，唔肥唔瘦，係大隻仔﹗食左藥之後塊面冇晒肉，冇晒笑容，見到食物又唔開胃，黑眼圈都好勁呀﹗

我仔都係食concerta 27, TOUCHWOOD 佢又冇瞓唔到之類的問題，佢係大隻仔，勁鍾意游水所以我比佢操水，妳要比多少少時間佢地適應, 開頭真係唔食野瘦得好緊要, 我仔宜家中午嗰餐都叫肯食返DD嘢，慢慢習慣咗會食返多啲嘢，

Tks for all of yr opinions, actually he already have after school activity everyday. But he still cannot sleep very well. But recently i found that drink more different chinese soup can help him can eat a little bit more.
he take 18mg concerta at the early time but obviously the dosage is not enough.

聽一位中醫建議，煲淮山圓肉是其中一個方法。
另外游水可以幫助提高小朋友的肝功能，讓他更有效去分解藥的毒素，減低副作用。
有無科學根據就不知了。

Must seek medical advice as your son has already tried it for a short period of time.  If not effective but lots of side effect found, must request to change.  
In addition, exercises do help.  Kids should have time to relax and let him have some outdoor activities.  
Don't be frustrated, your smiles, encouragement and positive attitudes ... will help and he will feel your love!!!

我仔仔 6 yrs 剛剛在上星期做了 AD/HD 評估. 今天我收到電話, CFMD 了我兒子有 AD/HD. 醫生 suggest 食藥. 不過我唔想. 因為聽醫生講說會冇胃口及某些情況下會影響身高發育. 我現在都不知如何是好,  食藥好 or 唔食藥好

I agreed medication can improve concentration and help to behave properly.  My son is 8 yrs old and takes ritalin 10mg per day (1/2 tablet in am and 1/2 tablet at noon) and he is very slim.  The dosage is so low that you can imagine how slim he is.  

The doctor told me that tried not to take any medication on Sat/ Sun to make him eat more.

I let him playing table tennis and I think it helps to improve his health and train his concentration.  Add oil.
