Frankly speaking, the two primary schools which you mentioned are probably few of the most popular choices in the Kowloon pennisula. Unless you are old girl of Maryknoll (which I guess you would have mentioned if you are), the 5 points of being Catholic wouldn't help you for Maryknoll. For the case of St. Mary's, being a Catholic would at least give you a chance (at least it still does) but luck will play a much bigger factor if your interest is on either one of them.
Where is this Deborah International that have gave you the offer? Since you are aiming at gov't aided schools, then needing to take school bus to go to York may not seems worthing to do. Unless you would also try to apply private or direct subsidized schools which require interviews. May be you don't have any ideas concering primary school admission yet?
In simple words, if you are interested in gov't or gov't aided schools (no tuition fees required), there won't be interviews (well except door-knocking) so which kindergartens the children study won't play a huge factor.
