You need to make sure you like the CKY environment (less homework, more readings, a lot of project-based learning) because CKY is so very different from YW.
You don't need to worry too much about if local universities accept IB or not because most universities in Hong Kong have a separate system to take IB students vs. from the HKAL (or the "new high school system"). And in a lot of cases, IB is more preferable than the local system because the JUPAS has still some randomness in taking in the students. for IB students, in some cases they would really give an interview to the applicant.
CKY is a relatively new school; YW is a school with longer history but the principal now is innovative. So you need to think about if the path the schools themselves take (both CKY and YW) is sustainable or not. For YW, but I like it but also worry if the principle will change in the future, would the direction of the school change a lot? For CKY, I love the language environment, but it is a relatively new school so I still have reservation?
And is religion a concern to you? |
