I just know that when I go to a nearby park sometimes, I always see the Indian / Pakistan SECONDARY school kids (sorry I am not trying to be racist here). And they don't behave well.

我一定不會選擇地利亞小學，因為很多印度、巴基斯坦、尼泊爾裔小朋友，很頑皮的！
我在美孚西鐵站上蓋的公園，經常看見幾國巴基斯坦或尼泊爾的小朋友打架，起飛腳，大聲講粗口！

I had taught there for a short period. In fact, I like the 印度、巴基斯坦、尼泊爾裔小朋友 quite a lot. They might seem to be more active than the local students but they would care about teachers more. As I was new, they tried to take care of me often and made me blending to their school easier.

Thank you all. Hi cpcog. Are their Chinese, English, Maths curriculum strong? Do they have the passion to teach every kid?   My child can't speak english. Do they teach children according to their ability?How about the class size?So much from me!

I was  asked to teach Music and religion 2 days a week only. So I don't really know children's ability in the main subject. At that time (almost 10 years ago), most teachers were quite young so they should have passion in teaching. They always talk about the students and how to help them in academic and manner.
The class size isn't small but they might divide  groups for some subjects. And, the Chinese classes would be taught in Chinese in many subjects. So I guess you needn't feel worried if your child isn't too familiar with English yet.

no, they don't teach every subject in English 10 years ago. The students in the Chinese class only speak in Cantonese with me while I should teach them in Chinese.
One of my friends taught in the 2nd school section at that time too. She said the students there were not as naughty as people's think.

我看到的盡是南亞裔人士，基本都是來自低下階層，有些很頑皮。這是鐵一般的事實，不要同我講是歧視！
既然香港也有很多英文學校，那為何要選地利亞呢？而且，地利亞可能要遷就南亞裔學生，中文自然很淺了！你想想聖人孟子母親為何要三遷住宅就明白了！三字經也云：昔孟母　擇鄰處　子不學　斷機杼

you have your point. The background of the parents would be our concern. However, the 南亞裔 parents were very kind, friendly and cooperative on the parents' day. I have taught in other local schools and found some parents could be more annoying.

It is true that Delia isn't the top type of schools for most parents' mind.  It might be due to the  南亞裔 students. honestly, I was a bit worried before going to teach there.
Well, TSL or LMC also have certain amount of 南亞裔 students but most parents there don't mind about that.
And, Chinese and  non-Chinese students don't have Chinese lessons together as TSL too. So, the Chinese standard won't be easier  just becuase of the non  Chinese.

大家好, 我的小朋友現正讀K1 地利亞幼稚園, 我開始為小朋友找間合適的小學.

老實話: 我的小朋友算很頑皮(好聽的叫活潑), 有人曾經以為BoBo有ADHD. 返在幾個月, 小朋友在家仍然很活潑, 但我去KG 門口望小朋友上課, 佢地好乖, 好留心. I really surprise, 我個仔咁乖?? 我是否發夢?? 之後再去幾次KG 門口望小朋友上課, 真系好乖. 唔信的話, 妳們去看一看, 但盡量遠望, 唔好disturb他們.
至於英文方面, 進步得好快. 我估K3畢業時, 應該一口流利英文. (因K2要全英文上課了)
中文方面, 我覺得唔淺. 小朋友除了要認到中文字外, 連英文都要識. 如. "人"字, 會教埋 "People". "Boy", Girl, Mother, Father, etc.
佢地第一個教的中文字就是 "人" 字, 好有意思. ~~ 即系要學怎樣做人!
Delia 小學 is within my wish list. 但我唔知道小學會否分開Local / Foreign stream? 我當然想小朋友跟班 Foreigner (most probably 南亞裔), 想佢keep住d英文.
轉出面d學校, 我worry以中文為主, 小朋友英文會差在. 如果國際小學, 學費會好貴. 唔知值唔值, 和 support 唔 support 得起.

我系美孚Mcdonal見到班大哥哥姐姐, 真的好noisy. 但佢地唔會好像早前youtube熱播: 中1生串爆晨運老人家, (班中1生系local出品, 其中一個女仔系葵涌所謂好的中學).

好多時我見d local 人Blame D 南亞裔小朋友. 從未見過blame local D 學生. 我不相信local小朋友一定乖過南亞裔的.

I'm really no offense. 現在d小朋友, d粗口已經好勵害了. 我見過local d 中學生點止打架, 直情拿起木棍打人.
