Your question is a bit vague.  Could you answer the following questions first to facilitate more relevant answers?

1. Which DSS/private schools specifically?

2. What criteria will you be using to rank the schools?  Different parents have different preferences and your child's characteristics are important in picking the right schools.

3. Do you prefer co-ed schools to girls' schools (or vice versa)?

There have been some rankings done in this forum previously.  You may try to search for them using the "search forum" function at the top of the screen with relevant Chinese or English key words as search strings.

每人心中有把尺, 人地覺得好, 未必同你心裡選擇一樣
而且揀學校, 唔係公認最好, 就一定岩自己(小朋友), 例如我女, 個人對自己要求都唔高又唔aggressive, 我就根本唔會考慮女拔(唔係唔好, 唔適合我姐)
而且, 唔同私校/直資都有唔同"款式", dgs vs cky vs 培僑, 根本係唔同種類, 無法compare, 如果你硬要信坊間所謂排行榜, 最後蝕底既係自己

I also think you should ask which type of schools you would prefer first.
Do you want traditional famous schools? with more tests and exams? with good music standard? with strong languages environment? small class size? Need good manner and attitude? or whatever?

同意. 唔同小朋友適合唔同嘅小學. 不要被什麼排名榜誤導,只會苦了小孩. 父母才最清楚自己孩子需要.

Ranking for what?

long history? no. of As in open exams? % of students going to universities? school fees?

Come on, friend, you need to do some research first. You know your kids best and it's a matching game. Browse the 小學一覽 in BK, click into the posts, try to pry into the real school lives if you don't know anyone currently studying in the school....that's what I have done in the past 2 years.

The top 10 or top 5 chart does not mean anything.
