TSL - much more academic oriented, not very pushing in P1-P3, but quite stressful starting from P4, not very accommodating to special needs children in learning as the academic results are quite competitive.
啟基 - they have lots of students with some special needs, yet very accommodating to these kids with many activities to look at children's alternative potentials, curriculum less pushing and more relax
音小 - very religious, not very academically sound, but a good environment for music development and accommodating to chidlren with special learning difficulties.
e.g. kids with learning difficulties in specific areas, such as reading and writings, maths or attention issues or even gifted kids in specific subjects
These difficulties are not very big deal, but they in some cases will be labelled as "lazy" or "having behavioral problems" in most schools without trained teachers to understand these kids' developmental differences..
These kids with good accommodation and understanding, will have good development in their secondary schools, but accommodation and understanding is difficult in most schools and for most teachers or even parents. They are "blind" to the existence of these kids and just compare them and fit them into the same "model" of learning.
I do not have kids placed here. But friends of mine are working there as English teachers and guidance teachers, they have some kids with special needs and they have trained teachers to support them.
