老師在簡介會上講過k1下學期起教phonics, 用"Jolly Phonics".

You needn't enroll extra phonic courses in my mind. They will learn phonic till UK.

My son is studying in UN/Mei Foo. (UN = K1).  Out of my expectation.  The English stardard is not low.  Of course not ABC only.  They taught some conceptual matters in English (I think you are focusing on English Part), like I am a girl/boy, Numbers, What you can find in Kitchen, Bathroom, Bedroom?  Colourful leaves and pinic and of course festival stories etc.

The teacher mentioned that they would start teaching phonic starting from 2nd Semister.  I am satisfied with the progress.  In fact, the first semister started from September 2010, i.e. two months only.

Don't worry.
