First, I admire your integrity in treating religion. I really despise those who was baptised only for extra marks in the discretionary stage or in DSS's/private school applications.
Second, selection criteria apart, I do not think your religious belief has anything to do with the quality of education received in the school. I studied in Catholic schools for 13 years, and I did not sense any difference in treatment from teachers (including priests) and the principal.
Example 1
I do not have any religious affiliations, but I have been in catholic school for over 10 years, appeared to be "equally treated"...
But
I remembered that some of my christian classmates were not allowed to have "cell groups" in schools
The most close attachments with teachers and sisters were those catholics and those who have been batized
Example 2
My kid is in a school without religious background. The school used to celebrate "Hallowen" for few years and the kids enjoyed very much the fun and creativities of the celebrations in school
BUT
when the new principal came, the yearly traditional celebration of "Hallowen" has been cancelled without any explanations, replaced with kind of "Boring DAY!"
Example 3
Christian teachers were allowed to run "cell groups" in schools without informing kid's parents. Some parents has a affiliation with Catholic church, felt being disrepectful by the "underlying agenda" of the principal...
