Hi,

As I am new, pls help.

If my children is living in Net 18 and study in Net 18 schools. If we then move home to Net 12, shall we select secondary schools in Net 12 then or still  net 18 that stick with the school during the lucky draw.

So my question is the lucky draw of secondary school is based on the home address or the district of school. Thx

The lucky draw of secondary school is based on the district of school.
But you can change it to base on the home address if you are going to move

Is there any difference if the lucky draw of secondary school is based on address of primary school or home address. Does it mean both are same and allow. And what is the cut-off time to move home to a new district to join the lucky draw. thx

I still have question to see whether can help. I quote the following first

何謂學校網？
答(1) 按地方行政的分界，全港共劃分為十八個學校網。每個學校網包括本區參加中學學位分配辦法的中、小學及他區提供學位予該網的各類中學。他區中學及由他區中學提供的學位，每年都可能會改變。除經申請跨網派位而獲批准者，學生所屬的學校網為其就讀小學所在的地區，而非居住地區。

If my primary school in net 18 and my home address will move to net 12, does it mean that I can apply "申請跨網派位" from education department for lucky draw?. Does it mean that education department will definitely accept or not or depend on what factor.

Is there any real case successful or failure that can share? Thx

係小學升中家長會中知道,
係可以以搬屋理由,有地址証明,教署又接受,
是可以申請以新地址的校網參加派位,
沒有任何申請更改者則以小學所在的地區參加派位.

首先在升中派位沒有位12網或18網，你所指的是不是你本來是住南區，將會搬去灣區呢？你可以參考下2009-2010的中學概覽：http://chsc.edb.hkedcity.net/secondary/，

你會發覺灣仔區亦會有些中學學位預留給南區的學生申請，但學位當然較留給灣仔區的小很多啦。

我記得今年申請轉區的入表限期是1月及3月，女兒的同學亦成功由油尖旺區轉去觀塘區，好似要填份申請轉區的form及附上租約、水電煤單等指定住址証明便可，很簡單，不用擔心。
