I can tell you a real case from my friend. She sent her daughter to a Band 1 school (not top tier) -St XXX in Causeway. Her girl was born in June but is the smallest in the class. The second smallest was born in March !!!Her daughter is a smart one but others are equally smart but 6-9 months older. Her girl is always at the bottom in everything (including acedemic). Pressure is on parents and her daughter. Then her daughter changed school to Internaltional school. Life is back normal in her family again.
If you have chance talk to those P1 kids from top tier school, you will be very impressive with their capability and maturity.
Therefore, your decision is depending which is your target school. However, this does not apply to your kid if he/she is an exceptional one.
