Hi,

If I apply for DSS/private and use address A in Net A. Then when doing the lucky draw, can i use address B in Net B? Is it allow and possible. Pls advise

It is OK, so long as you have address proof of address B when you fill in form for lucky draw. I heard from education Bureau that it is even possible that you use different addresses for part I (marks count) and Part II (lucky draw). They have a deadline to use if you want to use address B in part II [If I remember correctly it is around Dec].

By the way, if you apply for DSS/private school, address is irrelevant, unless you think the school would favour some regions in Hong KOng.

So does it mean that the Education Department does not know that i use the address A when applying for private/DSS school. And it is acceptable to use the address B when lucky draw and Education Department won't challenge on it?

I think a proper statement is : It does not care.

You can even argue this way:
When you apply DSS/private school, it is usually before 2nd phrase of govt P1 seat assignment. And you can always argue that you already move to address B when you submit form during the "lucky draw."

The only thing is that you have to prepare proof since a particular date [month] before you submit form of your "luck draw phrase."

You can indeed give Ed Bureau a call and confirm this practice.

考私校和直資報嘅地址，教統局係知道的，到你自行分配交表如果地址唔同，教統局會要求你交更多新地址證明，甚至要Home Visit

Here I don't have the intent on any district discrimination. But if the private/DSS school is in the district for example island side and the applicant is in New Terriorties, then will the school hesitate on the the student use hours for travelling betwee school and home for a primary student?

And second, if for home visit to the "new home" but found that it is empty or not likely to have people living in, what the education department will do, will they withdraw the seat, any concrete case. Thx

since i am living in net 18, if i move to net 12, i can only afford to rent a cheap flat probably with a bed or toilet. If I use this net 12 address to apply for private/DSS, will it affect the impression.

And if i am taret on private/dss school, if i rent too early in net12, will it be a waste on money if i got an offer from private/dss school.

So what will the good fit time to move in case i am not successful for private/dss. thx
