Has anyone used Step into Reading published by Random House? I saw it at the book fair but don't know if it is good or not. Any comment?

I have chosen some books from this series for my son.

While I do like the books I chose, my comment is you really have to choose something suitable for your kid as the subject may vary a lot and some of them are those popular but a bit commercial such as Thomas and Friends.

I think it is very good for children. You learn a lot more about things in America which seldom appears in textbooks. I was reading Ben Franklin and the Magic squares and learned that not only he invented the magic squares, he also invented the flippers, America's first library, first fire station and a lot more other stuff. Very educational!
