Bring some of yr kid's favourite toys and some candies coz u need to wait for a long time!!! These things can help u to control yr kids!!!

From my experience, nearly wait for at least 30mins to 1 hours. It depends on what language u choose. i choose English for my son and it took about 30mins to take the form first (long quene......both Cantonese and English were in this line) Then, we went to the English section, no need to quene. At that time, i saw many children were out of control coz wait for too long!!!!!!!!

wcandtt,
I wonder if it is possible to let one parent stay in the queue and then another parent bring the child later on to shorten the waiting time for the child? Is this a workable solution?

As I could remember, I didn't wait for long time for the interview last year. The only trouble was that we were asked to go to different rooms. It is just like a maze. If you are afraid that the waiting time will be long and your child will be out of control you can bring along with you your child's favourate toys, books and snacks. Make him/her occupied. Then maybe your child can wait a bit longer. You can also promise your child that if he/she does not cry and answers teacher's questions, you will bring him/her to his/her favourite place.(usually McDonald's) I think it may help you control your kid better.

Yes, may be. However, u should aware that the quene is moving at that time and hundreds of kids and parents are lining up. i cannot remember whether the swings and slides can be played or not!!!!

Thanks a lot for your advice. My interview time is 9:00 am which is the very first lot. I just hope my waiting time is not going to be too long. I am not sure whether bringing my son's favourite things is going to be very helpful because he is an extremely curious child. All the things that he will see in SC (including possibly a rubbish bin!) could be more attractive than anything that he owns. Anyway, I will try my best.

My daughter will interview on 11/12 at 11.15am. I'm afraid she will feel hungrey and sleepy as she need to wait for a long time... Any idea keep her awake ?

Kowloon Tong station, Exit A, cross a road, you will see a Kowloon Primary school and go straight and cross another road, that is St. Catherine. around 3 mins.

我去年見過sc的老友(個女今年已讀緊k1)說, 他認為漫長的等待確是令人莫名其妙的, 除非等待本身是測試家長的一部分。 :wink:

You can bring some of your child's favourite toys or books. If you are worried that your child will be hungry, bring some of his/her favourite snacks. Maybe you can promise him/her that if he/she answer teacher's questions, then you will bring him/her to a place he/she likes going. It works well.
