Hi hi,
My girl is now studying in the international class of K1 at HK Preschool & Playschool (KLN Tong), she has 3 class teachers: 1 Net, 2 native PTH teachers, there is no time allocation of PTH and EN, because they use PTH and EN all the time throughout the whole school day. That's why her language development in both PTH and EN is very good because she is exposed to both languages all the time in the school.
This year, there is no standard for the language used in the interview no matter which class you are applying for. It depends on which teacher you will meet in the interview.
I could only tell you some details of the interview for Playgroup(nursery). There was a book on the desk, my girl was asked to point to the object in the book (say like duck, car, etc). She was also asked to show who is daddy and mummy. We parents were asked two questions: Who takes care of the kid most of the time? What do we do with the kid in free time?
Is it a good school? I will let you judge it by yourself because different children suit different schools or vice versa.
But it is definitely a good school for my girl because she goes to school happily every day. After 1 year of study in HKPS, I am particularly satisfied with her language development as she can understand me and speak to me without any difficulty whenever I talk to her either in PTH or EN.
