會否讓年尾出世的孩子多讀一年高班?

我的女兒於10月出世, 未夠三歲就讀幼兒班, 她明顯不比班中於年頭出世的孩子成熟. 明理, 有人勸我比女兒多讀一年高班, 否則上到小學時佢會追唔上, 我亦要跟得好辛苦.(我只會幫個女報讀津校)

請各位有經驗的媽媽比D意見, 謝謝!

你說的不夠成熟，具體是什麽？學野方面如何？"不比班中於年頭出世的孩子成熟. 明理"不一定輸蝕過人，最重要係仔細觀察各項條件，才可為他作出適當的安排，及定下目標。如你真的認為現在情況不理想，就更加冇理由K3才處理，明年K2又如何呢？

my daughter was born in Dec, she is always the 'small girl ' in her class. Yes, she was quite behind her classmates during the kinder time. I felt pretty upset sometimes those days. But now, she is in P.3 and she is doing very well. To my opinion, that's no need to be worry, they will catch up eventually, and suprisingly they may be better than those 'big boy' which we will never know.
I think it is always good to be the youngest one in the class because the older would normally pamper the younger. I have no regret of being send her to the school earlier.

我讚成，讀多一年幼稚園沒有什麼大不了，　但有可能對他成個讀書生涯來說有很大的幫助,
- 小學一年級己有很多抄寫, 手指未夠成熟, 抄寫是一個很大的負擔.
- 如果小朋友沒有足夠的定力, 上課時根本沒法集中精神, 到時只有依賴家長在家教導, 到時你又辛苦佢又辛苦.
- 到高年級, 開始須要比較強的分析能力, 到時年紀小的小朋友會更辛苦
說到尾, 如果讀書太大負擔, 根本無法培養讀書興趣, 在加上而家讀書壓力又大, 在幼稚園讀多一年, 好過小學才讀多年.

我覺得最緊要是父母常倍bb$和學習，如果是repeat 1yr,但又少理bb,都係無用!!

Yes.  I agree with the above points and I would like to add some more:

1.  make use of the extra year to expose to extra-curricular activities, especially if you want to apply famous primary school.

2.  the time spent is more balance on his/her academic requirements and extra-curricular activities because s/he is old enough to handle.

3.  unless you want the child to support the family, there is no difference for the child to start a career a year later.

要重讀應該在k1，到k3時對佢o既自尊心影響較大，佢會諗點解別的都能上小學而自己唔得，對佢學習的信心會有較大的影響，而在k1重讀則影響較小，起碼可以打好些基楚，如小肌肉，手眼協調能力等。

I think the best way is to repeat K2, and you can choose a higher standard K2, such as Kentville, so the child still feel he is learning more studd. In fact, repeating K3 is also OK, because most kids like to be big brother/big sister in the class. We can explain to the kid that he/she is too young for P1, bur he van be a big borther/big sister in K3. as Kid has no hard feeling about "repeat". it is parents' feeling.

Actually, life at kindergarten is much more happy than primary school.

我個仔都係十月尾出世,現在讀k1, n1時我發覺佢都好明白老師上課既指示,但手眼協調方面好明顯較其他同學差,尤其是油顏色和畫線條,令到我兩公婆都好心煩,唔知使唔使比佢重讀.學期尾問過老師,佢就話其實佢智能上面都跟到,如果比佢重讀,佢可能對學習欠缺新鮮感,可能會弄巧反拙.

If u repeat in the same school, it is a bit too bore, but if u change an enviornment, It is fine. I heard that a large number of Pui Ching students are repeating K1.

我囝囝也是年尾出世,我比佢重讀K2,記得上年佢讀K2我哋跟得好辛苦,但今年完全唔同咗好多.我同佢講嘢唔駛重複講&講咗佢都唔明點解.今年K2我唔駛點講佢已經知道點做,真係輕鬆不少呀!同時証明我俾佢重讀係正確的決定.好過以後佢覺得讀書辛苦而無心機讀書,如果係咁樣我情願書用多點的錢也不願意佢讀得辛苦.

我個女都係10月出生, 今年在津校讀2年級, 當年好多幼稚園都不收她, 因為她未足3歲, 但係我想如果遲一年入學會浪費一年時間, 而且遲一年讀她會大別的小朋友好多, 始終做細女好過大女, 於是找了一間肯收她的幼稚園讀住先.

一路她都有好明顯的進步, 高班時result與其他大女相差不大, 考到頭幾名. 其實越上高年級, 同學間的差別會越來越少, 不用太擔心.

我唔覺得年尾出世的小朋友一定會比年頭的差，我仔是十一月出世的，而家讀緊k2，係班上是最細的一個，但我見佢學到的東西不比大仔少，寫字也不比大仔差，理解能力和記性反而有時比年頭出世的同學仔還好。不過老師話佢體能方面就較其他同學遜色。
