我個心想BB讀國際班, 平日返學可以用多d 英文同普通話. 放學後由婆婆照顧, 婆婆就用廣東話, 可唔可以算係2文3語呢?

其實我在家中大多數會用英文同bb溝通, 他都明白simple sentence. 其他人(包括爸爸)就用廣東話, 而我同其他人講話時都係用廣東話的, 所以BB接觸英文日常用語其實不多,自己的英文又是有限公司.

但係又擔心BB學3 種語言會有混淆, 得不償失, 大家會點選擇? (BB 是0802 B)

我都覺得語言方面好難安排.
先講平日, 我老公同菲傭姐姐係講英文既, 本來安排自己同個囝講廣東話, 但因為成日都在家對住姐姐, 不其然又會o向個囝面前講好多英文(因為要姐姐都明我講乜). 一樣係0802b, 佢而家主要識聽同講都係英文.
至於普通話, 我係識講, 但無同佢講, 都有考慮入學會否選國際班, 到時唔通我一個人用3種語言同佢講野?

我屋企就先教英文, 到佢識講識讀少少.. 就講大部份廣東話, 而bun bun講英文
早期聽英文歌對睇同講都好有幫助, 所以到小朋友跟到廣東話時, 就播廣東兒歌.. 又煲咗幾個月

雖然係讀英粵班, 但係都有普通話上, 小朋友開始自言自語時有d類似PTH嘅音發出嚟.. 仲好多時指住個中文, 叫大人讀普通話佢聽!

我諗.. 如果屋企唔係講開PTH, 你又唔係想讀PTH教學嘅小學, 真係無必要讀英普班.. 因為理論上英普班係無廣東話嘅, 咁佢d功課.. 就要响屋企再從頭用廣東話教過!

安排似乎都幾好喎.
想請問, 到你講大部份廣東話時, 係咪都會有需要時間一句英文(當然不能一句中有英有中), 我想知如果真係避免唔到講英文, 最少要點安排囉...?

1) Please note most kindergarten interviews are conduct in Cantonese, including those famous one.
2) 英普班 usually reserved for children from mainland China, not those grown up in HK.

英普班 is for kids from mainland!!!
I really have no idea about this. Thanks for telling me.

I have thought to take BB to language class (e.g. 山東) , 但一個星期只有一兩堂是Spanish/
Eng. 好似唔夠, 學唔到嘢.

I speak in Cantonese with my child at home most of the time.  I have chosen PE class for him for a couple of reasons.

1) Children can learn languages much easier than adult.  I want to build up my child's capability and interest in learning Chinese + English in earlier stage.
2) I prefer DSS which has English + Mardarin as their common languages of communication.
3) Most of the Chinese in other Asian countries are able to speak Mardarin + English.  Especially those Singaporean Chinese , they can speak at least 3 languages fluently (Cantonese, Mardarin and English).

wootaitai, i hv similar situation and same feelings with you. My boy is now 2.5 yrs. When my boy turned 2, he was only interested when people talked in English. He willl ignore people when we talked to him in Cantonese, or sometimes reply in English only. From that time onwards, I changed our home language to cantonese, even the maid need to speak in cantonese (she has been in HK for 2 yrs, she can master simple cantonese conversation. Of course, she still can talk in English if needed). After 1/2 yrs, now my boy can talk 2-phrase word in cantonese. And show a lot of interest to cantonese conversation.

Becuase of the importance of cantonese in HK society, my strategy is to build up his cantonese understanding and conversation ability first, with ratio around 2:8 in Eng:Ctn. I will eninforce his english ability again next year.

Regarding PTH, might wait until he turns 4-5.

I am also annoyed by this. I am thinking to apply local or international nursery class for my kid. But i will apply those local traditional thro train K1 later, like those spk, sacred heart, st clare and truelight. And i know these KG are mainly taught in cantonese, probably not much english or even no mandarin. Then will my kid benefits with one yr nursery international course?
