Thanks for sharing. It seems that you have done in-depth research about the school. I've also heard that DGJS is taking fewer and fewer CCKG kids each year. Do you know why?
Do you know a lot of DGJS parents/teachers or you a parent yourself?
Do you think the school has changed its interview practice this year because they found that the P1 interview class centres have got too much information on how to train the kids to enter DGJS? Or the school found that the students they admitted in the last few years using the old practice could not really reflect the girls' real ability?

sorry, i don't buy any of your analysis.

1) original form
If they attach so much importance to this, then they are superficial.

2) Birth date - if the girl can demo how smart she is at the interview, the the birth date is irelevant

3)Birth ID - this is a absurd, whoever came up with this idea that person is sick and probably wasn't born in private or public hopsital. LOL

4 photo- only naive people think like this.

5) Address - the logic is flawed.

obviously, you are not an old girl, are you?? But it was interesting to read your essay.

It's really an interesting and detailed analysis.

Since facilitating children to enter DGJS or DBS are the ultimate goals for many parents, they will still want to try no matter how difficult is it.

This is really an interesting article. As a matter of fact, may I ask if you are coming fro any interview training class or tutorial organizations looking up for potential clients here? Your analysis is really superficial and shallow, but I do admire your patience in writing it up - an essay!! ha ha

I just wonder how this 'PHD' came up with the idea of 'delink of CCKG' and 'scruntize those childern of learning French'??? But she could surely create fear for a part of the candidates.

No matter whether readers regard the information valuable or not, your effort is definitely appreciated. You don't ask for rewards but detail the information you gathered and analysized. Thank you very much.

Frankly, DGJS is really not my No.1 school - this probably is the only point that I disagree with you (becoz you mentioned that this is No1 dream school among mummies of girls). For the others, although some parents have some comments on it, they represents a 'warning' or 'signal' for us to take the application serious. I enjoy reading it.

I also think the findings are innocent and superficial. Top schools really just care one thing: children's background. Good background nurtures children's growth, but of course there are always exceptions.

I think magiccandy was trying to say that top school pick their students purely based on individual merit but there are always exceptions. I think it's a fair statement not superficial at all.

I agree to this point.

It is difficult to get into those prestigious schools and even more difficult to survive there. It seems that only very smart kids can study confidently and happily in those schools.

In addition, I don't think the points above are totally nonsense. Admission panel may really examine every bit of the whole package. It's just that weighting is another issue. It would be better if the author could assign a weighting % to each point, then the whole thing will become more reasonable.

In that case, did the applicant of the first person in the queue get accepted by the school? My point is this has nothing to do with the way the school assesses the applicant.

我舊老闆仔女讀spcc, 佢亦同我講, original form同photocopy係有分別的, 仲特登拎左一份original ...
