我女女現就讀民生幼稚園,近日有朋友問我會否考慮將來替女女德望小學, 但我對此校認識唔深, 想問各位家長對此校的意見!

Catholic Girl's school.  Education OK!
Campus OK!  Very serious on moral!
Not really pushing like other aided or government school.  And, she accept my daugher.  Very simple reasons.

One more important things, most of the parents in GH "quite care care care their daughters' both education and physical." especially our P.1 parents.

Good parent communication among each class
Good and new school compound
Low teaching staff turnover rate
Good moral education
Updated teaching equipment and technoloy
Good langauge building

自設廚房, 保正午飯新鮮健康, 收費 $ 18.00, 天天不同, 會提供一個月餐單, 自由選擇.

Hi,

I've studied in GHS for 13 yrs from P1-F7 and I graduated on 1996. Primary is a good school and the language is really good. However, secondary is not quite good in academic compared with other famous school. They quite emphasisd in the area of music and PE, besides, the rules are too rigid (mainly due to the former principal was a Sister), you feel no freedom at all. Most of the teachers are too "old style", the lecture notes we used has being used for more than 10 yrs!!
Maybe there's some improvement after some change of management recently.

My friend also told me that the feedback from old graduates were not good. But I really don't know what's the matters making them to have such negative impression.

Yes, secondary is not good in academic and moral training. Besides, many lesbians.

Dear pactic,

Why didn't you ask your daughter?

You show her both schools and staying outside the school door to see the students.

Same as my daughter, I did ask her. She said she like GH more, so we applied and got acceptance.

My nieces are old girls, one of them left after F.3 and the other left after F.5, comments are from them. Of course, you should judge by yourself, this is only part of the comments.

Thank you for your advise, we will try our very best to avoid this.
However, when our girls grow up, they're very seldom to follow the parents any more. They have their own mind. So, sometimes I believe reglious might help.
Nobody know what happen after 10 to 12 years.

雖然我不是舊生,但我認為世上沒有一所完美的學校,最重耍的是你是否同意該校的辦學理念,以及你的孩子是否適合那類型的學校.不過,就我觀察所見, GH的女孩子學術氣氛一般,而在校外的表現亦不見檢點, 例如數年前, 我替小女上GH交小一留位費, 然後乘坐學校的shuttle bus前往mtr, 其中的GH girls 就大聲講,又大聲笑, 完全沒有應有的序序和禮貌. 此外, 我經常見到好些該校的學生在乘搭地鐵時打電話遊戲機, 而甚少像dgs或spcc的學生一般, 好好利用時間來看書. 不過, 上述只是觀察所得而已.

i am graduated from GH secondary school. some of my friends and i agreed that some of the rules are old. but it prevented us from becoming bad ladies. i studied in another primary school without much english stimulation. but after studying in GHS, my english improved a lot. my friends and i are all professional with stable income. without fear in this financial big crisis. we agree that it's one of the reason that we studied in GHS.yes, there are lesbians in this school. but i think it's just because of the environment. many of the 'lesbians' falls in love with guys when they studied in university and got married and normal family. they are not real 'lesbain' at all. i know that if boys school, there are 'gay' guys but become straight after graduation. it's just environment issue. if u let your daughter joining more extracurricular activities, meeting more guys,maybe better. but then u will worry about other things....ha....
i believe that there is no perfect school in this world. just choose one that suits your daughter.

I also want to know what is the learning atmosphere in GH, whether the students in GH like reading. If not, how can they get good academic result or Eng. language development?
