to answer ur question before... we live in tsuen wan, the school bus pass by very close to us so ethan can take the school bus.... but this yr i can't take him to the bus stop....

have to wait till next yr again.

so far, ethan seems to like his teachers... he was abit scare before tuesday and kept saying he's scared and don't want to go to school... but after school yesterday, he's back to liking it!!!

anyhow, how r everyone's kids liking school? nobody cried on the first day, right??

really hope our kids will learn alot in k2, and enjoy it...

hi beryl, i think the stairs r ok, they r bigger now, if they were in k1 then i would be worry...

maybe tungtung need sometime to get used to the new environment la.... don't worry too much..
let me try to ask ethan and see... but ethan did say he sat beside tung tung on the first day.... now he's in the apple group... what group is tungtung in??

i also bought thicker triangular pencils for ethan.. but i also found some thinner triangular HB ones... i will see in a couple of month if he can use the thinner ones then....

hihi, i have put ethan into a putonghua class twice per week, weekday mornings.... because he seems to like his summer putonghua class (he learned quite a few songs in only a few weeks) therefore i decided to let him continue...

if ur child seems interested, then u might let him/her take more putonghua classes aside from school...

hi, ethan said he needs to cut the color papers... i think he means to cut shapes from the color papers and then glue onto the kite...and also staple on the yellow tail...... i will ask him more tomorrow, and see whether he will mention writing anything words on it...

and if there's any need to bring back to school...??

hi ngo mum, at least we know it is to make a kite!! i think we can just help our kids to try to achieve what they want... whether it is exactly what the teacher asked for is our kids' responsibility... :) happy kite making!!

hi, i asked ethan again on his version of the instructions... he said no need to write/draw anything on the kite (maybe he just didn't want to)... we just cut up the color papers into different shapes and glued it onto the kite, stapled the tail on, and cut out some bows and stapled them to the tail... and he said he needs to take it to school on monday wor...

beryl, the kite tail is the yellow ribbon...! if u don't have it.. maybe cut a long piece from the color paper and turn it into a tail??

about the card at the back of their books... if i don't remember wrongly, i think ms chow said to fill it out when she has finished teaching the book, (u can tell by the checks the kids put on the corner of the pages...) and when she has finished teaching, then we need to fill the card out with our kids and then hand it in.... i think that's what she said.... anyone remember more...

hi ngo daddy,

yes, i checked ethan's school bag yesterday too and found out ms chow finished teaching the book, therefore i did all the exercises with ethan and then filled out the card on the back which ethan brought it to school today.

hi, ethan said he has to bring a kite to school for show & tell, which he did yesterday. and he did say on tuesday he needed to bring a leaf to school yesterday but i forgot and he reminded me again this morning and i quickly went downstair and got a leaf (a yellow or red one) for him to bring to school today... i hope that's ok!!
