Re: 想知 St. Catherine 的情況
My daughter is now studying in SC K.3.
1) The English standard is OK. The children can read many Chinese & English words. However, for K.1 & K.2, the school does not encourage the children to memorize or write both Chinese & English, so they only know how to spell very few English words.
The knowing & reading are good, but not the spelling until K.3.
Every English lession is taught by native English teachers.
(2) 中文/ 普通話: average standard - until K.3, they really learnt a lot more than K.1 & K.2.
(3) 有冇2歲班? - No, the school only has K.1 to K.3.
(4) 與其他幼稚園相比, St. Catherine 有咩優勝之處 - they have their own teaching materials, I do not have to buy books for my child in all the three years except Oxford reading.
However, I think the standard is lower than Kentville but higher than Creative.
The school does not have any related schools, so you still have to help the children to find P.1 (just like what I am doing now).
