Interesting question. In my 30 years experience with my pianos... I never thought it washing that cloth.
I would buy a new one .... but honestly, it doesn't get that dirty that one needs to put in the washing machine?
I think don't bother. If you really really really want to, I would just gently rinse it with cold water, by hand, then hand dry. But I still don't see any reason to wash it.
It's simply to put on the keys after you play to prevent dust, and absorb humidity, and moisture.
I never close my piano, so haven't used that cloth many years.
piano lid doesn't close because it's used all the time.... I do close it, I guess.... before I sleep, but it's opened again in the morning right away.
Clean keys with the key bright solution, or alcohol.
Then I have my piano cleaned by the technicians once a year, very dusty, and lots of "guck" . My helper saw it the other day, she said, Wa, lucky I don't have to do that! Hahaha.
