各位有小朋友讀朗思的家長, 請問朗思除每月學費外,還有甚麼雜費 (如書簿費,茶點....等等)?因我剛收到通知學校收我的大仔讀k2上午班,我正在考慮中.

My girl is studying in Think's Nursery class, besides school fees, I only paid around $1,200 for the school books and misc. expenses. Except that, no other payments needed.

As the school's monthly notice is for the Nursery and Kindergarten, I can see that there are also no other compulsory payments for the Kindergarten.

我個仔都是n1, 我覺得都幾合理, 冇咩其它野,

我地n1校服得一個款 (運動衫), 又慳d. 其實細小朋友, 有幾種不同校服就煩大人, 運動衫又方便洗, 幾好.

What do you think about Think Laguna City? Are the teachers nice and can they provide a good environment for the children to learn (including the language)?

Me 2, Laguna City,

my boy and I all like Think's teacher and the method, my son's teacher is caring, my son was always crying when he started the school last Aug, the teacher call almost every day to told me the situation.

Their  teaching method is quite lively, they hv topic each wk, from the handbook and the photo CD / Web, we can know what our kids learning in school quite well.

I know quite few Think's student, one thing is common are they are quite active student, and wiling to present themselves. Those K2 Students are very good in English, their PTH is OK too as start from K2 hv ENG / PTH stream

Just only one thing, N1 if u select the Main Stream Class, is not all Eng class, that is mainly Cantonese Class + some Eng + some PTH,  so my boy now speak a lot of cantonese though before school, we using Full English in Home for him + some PTH..  ( I didn't choose International Stream as I hope he can learn Chinese too beside English)

So for K1 this Sept, I will change my son to another a bit famous Kinder as they offer ENG / PTH for him.  I am not very sure that is the best solution as I still quite "buy" Think as that is a good school I believe.

Thanks a lot. My son's English is still not very good as I only sometimes talk to him in English and he sometimes refuses me to speak in English. I hope when he is admitted to K2, he can catch up with the level of the other kids.

My daughter recognised your son and called his name immediately when she saw his photo.

Hi taboyan,

I agree with BH_2 and also very satisfy with the school’s teaching approach and especially the caring of the teachers.
I was surprised the teacher called me everyday almost during the first 2 months to let me know how my girl was doing in the school.

There are 2 things that I want to show my heartfelt thank you to the school and the teachers.
Same as BH_2’s son, my daughter did not understand Cantonese at all before her school life, but the teachers were very patient and explain to her and make sure she understand everything and what they are doing during class.
The teacher called me everyday to let me know her progress and just after 3 months in school, she can master the Cantonese interviews in last November and was successful in the schools we applied. I should give a big credit to the school.

The second thing is the quitting of diaper.
Before school started last August, during the school orientation, some of the parents also queried whether we need to quit the diaper before they started the school, however, the principal ensured us that just leave it to them and they will handle it.
Amazingly, just after 3 weeks, she quitted her pampers without pain and has never wet her school uniform.

One more thing to add is that when we conducted the K1 interview last October (although she is existing student, still need interview for K1), I noticed that there was a footnote in the application form stating that “接見程序簡單, 莫潻加兒童壓力”.
I found that they really care about the children and am sure they will have a happy life there.

Reading the monthly notice, I can see that there are different topics each week/month for the kindergarten students, also there are many outings, which are quite interesting also.

BTW, which THINK are you going to?

My son is going to Laguna City too. Is your girl going to attend K1 or K2 in the coming Sept?

My son is quite active and he already feels boring in doing some line-drawing homework. When he is not doing his homework in a proper manner (e.g. when doing matching, my son always draw curved line to match the correct answers, but the teacher wants the line to be straight), his classteacher will complain that to me. But in my view, for such a young kid, I do not think such is a big problem and it can show his creative mind.

I hope the environment at Think can facilitate my son to explore his potential in creativity.

your girl is in which group, watermelon too ? I think watermelon hv only one girl, and my son hv a good picture with that girl (sorry I don't know the name) in the CD school give to us... ha ha..

I totally agreed with you, I really appreciated all teachers and EE's task in Think, so we hv less problem in those issue like quit the diaper etc..I hv no doubt in there kids can enjoy the space in learning.  That's why for me it is a big struggle to change K1 for my kid....

When I talk to Think's K2 kids  , they will answer me in the same language I talk to them (no matter cantonese, Eng or PTH) natually. Kids are very easy to adapt to enviroment, so don't worry.

Like u, I really don't buy those school push kids act like moulding them. Of course a "straight line" will  make their  homework a bit tidy, but if kids using "curve line" and still get the right answer, that is good enough to me..I will rather put my energy to introduce more new knowledge to them instead of correcting a line... ha ha..

My girl is in Mango Group.  Just that your son cried quite a lot during the first week to school, he caught my girl's attention.  My daughter loves to watch the School's X'mas Concert CD, everytime she saw your son, she will call his name.

My daughter is in the Nursery class, everyday is so fun for her.  Last week, I had a chance to send her to school, I saw all the children go to washroom by themselves and then return to their respective classroom, put down their school bags and all go out to the playground to dance/exercise.  It was so funny and happy.  I wish I could see that everyday!

However, due to our religious background, I have put her to a catholic kindergarten in the coming September.  So we will have to say goodbye to THINK also.

Regarding the line-drawing issue, for me, as long as they can match objects with a line is good enough no matter it is straight or curve.  I believe THINK can accommodate the differences of the little ones. So you don't have to worry.

My girl was in nuseary a.m. class since 2 years old, she is now studying K1 (UN) full day. Her spoken English and PTH, even cantonese (in terms of organising words and phasese) are very much improved.

She can now communicate very good in English, 50-60% in PTH. Though her strength is in spoken languges only, not yet explore to writing.

We have just received a waiting list letter from CCKG, and I really believe what she learnt from THINK helps her a lot in communicate with difference kind of people.

My son is also in Mango group (Nursery) of Laguna City Think. It is really good. The teachers are caring. He really learnt a lot in Think.

However, we have to say goodbye to Think because he is admitted to St. Catherine in the coming school year. We have struggled for quite a long time whether to change to St. Catherine or not. Due to better words of month, we decided to move to St. Catherine. Hope it is a right move.

I think my son is the worst student (crying a lot) after start his N1 last Aug, ho ho... he cried over one month till I arranged school bus for him in Sept that time because he can't leave me while seeing the school when I sent him to school by myself.

I am so appriciated for Think's teachers' good job, now he said he like the school a lot... and his teacher said he hv great improvement in the latest student apprecial. I also to love to watch their VCD, also their photos took by the teachers in school..that really let us share a lot of their school life.

I think quite a number of N1 of Think (LT) will left for St.Cat or KV in coming Sept.

So our sons will be the new schoolmate again in St. Cat in coming Sept la.. hope in there they will hv a happy school life too !
