Other primary may held the parent day for new students in June/July. How about SPCCPS. According to my husband, it will be in August. Will it be too late! Or did we make a mistake?

As I remember, the date is 22 Aug., so don't worry!

Parents' Day will probably on 22 August. But the school will send an inception package to you by early July (i.e. you should receive it in late June or early July) through post, containing information on uniform, books, lunch, nanny bus, summer activities etc.

I called one of the persons in charge of our district a few days ago. The gentlemen asked for my contact information (phone numbers , address, etc), and my daughter's name. He said that he will make the necessary arrangement, and told me that he will be there on 8/22. Those parents who have called them before should be able to find out the transportation arrangement on the day. There is no need to pay them for now. When I asked him how much it would be per month, he said it'd be approximately $850/month (for Kennedy Rd) but he could not be certain.

So yes, I guess you may call the person who is responsible for your district. The gentlemen I called was very polite and helpful.

Thanks, skateboardp. Actually my husband just told me that he'd called already...^_^, and my boy can get on the school bus at 7:30a in South Horizon...

I've contacted Mr.HA and he said the school bus fee is around $680 for the student who lived in SH. Just f.y.i.
