Any kids experienced to attend the level of "Movers" instead of "Starters" in Cambridge YLE Tests when they were only 6 years old??

Dear Candice,

My son has also taken the Cambridge course since August. I live in Tin Shui Wai. So, I take the course in Tusen Wan - Discovery Park. According to my best friend's information, the best place should be "Birtish Council" but the location is too far away for me.

Both my kid and I find that the past paper of "Starters" are very easy, I wonder if she could jump to attend the test of "Movers".

You can buy in British Council and Cosmos Books. I just brought Flyers and KET.

Many bookstores have them. You can go to 商務 in Star House, TST. The bookstore inside British Council has them too. It is located beside the British Consulate in Admiralty. You can go there by taking the escalator from Pacific Place (to HK Park).

My son he is now 4 yrs & 11 mths old and he has taken a free assessment in YMCA a month ago, the assessor (he is a foreigner) suggest my son to take the "Movers" instead of "Starters", he explains to me that since my son's listening, oral and simply vocabulary is above "Starters" and therefore don't waste money. Furthermore, he could jump to "Movers" even "Flyers" when he has reached the age of 6.

Told by the foreigner, they will use different past paper to assess the child’s level and my son was assessed by “Movers”.

Sorry for confusion, the foreigner is not my son's teacher and the free assessment was held in YMCA a month ago for those they intend to apply for their Cambridge YLE course. They did test my son's listening, reading and oral skill but without written test. After the test, they commented that my son could directly enter into their "Movers" course instead of "Starters" (not the examination).

Regarding the examination, of course I will let my son to sit for "starters" first then "Movers" but will not waste money to take the course from "Starters"

Yes, I do have such plan for application in other primary school. Is your kid studying P.1 or P.2 if he is going to be 7 years old? Are you having the same purpose to sit for the test?
