Sorry that I've forgot how much I had invested for everything but not small amount lor. I knew this frm bb exitbition & book booths at Taikoo Sing. I finally bought it at Taikoosing.
My daughter started ET around 13-14 months yrs old. At the very begining, she didn't 100% love the ET. However, I let het to watch the dvd/ listen the songs/ read the book w/ her day by day. She did learn a lot of thing frm ET. She has used ET for 9 months & she is 27 months old. Now, she knows all the english name on the A-Z poster (frm ET) likes Apple, bear, yo yo, hippo and so on. Also, she can sing all the songs. Right now, she even can repeatly speak what the characters say at the programme. Since this ET programme is quite udpated & use a lot of computer things, my daughter did learn a lot of computer stuff's name likes mouse, keyboard, disc & get email.
When I bought the ET + all the books like encyclopedia & story books, they give me a set of mother goose in free. Actually, I've mainly started to use MG first after I bought everything coz I found ET was a bit difficult but I still alternativly let her seeing MG/ ET. Around 21 months old of my bb, she had already sung all the mother goose songs. I higly recommend u to buy the mg for yr bb coz most of the songs will be taught/ sung at playgroup/ kindergardan.
Because she knows a lot of songs frm MG, she can even sing a lot of songs during nursery interview at Victoria. This impressed their teachers very much coz my daughter looked like having her own conert at that moment. Finally, all teachers were so surprise why my 21months old bb can sing so many English songs.
Anyway, I also brought my bb to attend English playgroup when she was 11 months old.
For the cd rom of ET, my hus will be the responsible person to play w/ her. But of course, my bb still dunno to control the keyboard & mouse la so my hus will hold her finger to play together la.
For the book set, it's quite difficult to my bb but I've still read it w/ her no matter if she can understand & I'll try to use a simplify version to teach/ read the book w/ her.
Summarize, I quite satisfy w/ this TimeLife teaching programme & it can safe much time to look for other teaching programme frm outside. However, I don't want u to thing this programme is a magic. For my experience, u should show/ teach/ read a lot of diff things to yr bb & she must absorb them. If u have time, u can source a lot of good teaching stuffs w/ a better prx to her. And, if u don't have time to source the materials & can afford the $, u should buy some good trustable programme to yr bb. |
