You cannot compare apple with orange. The method of learning is very different. In junior grades, DGS may be higher but in the higher grades it may not be the result.

I saw the homework from students in both school. In junior grade of international school, students are encourage to write only but the grammer, spelling can be all wrong. If you read their comp, you can understand the meaning by the pronunciation of words only. Can you image? It never happen in DGJS.

Yes, it will. In my experience, when I correct my son's composition with my limited grammer knowledge, he found frustrated and try to avoid my inspection. He studies in an English school and has to write average three times a week. My interruption caused him less interest to write what he really wanted. (sometimes his imagination is beyond the abilites he has.)

I would like to add that since the study environment in DGJS and Int'l school is very different, the result will be different.
Time is school is finite.  In Int'l school, most of the time are used to discuss, role play to induce their imagination and thinking.
DGJS is the best girl's school (in my opinion) especially in Eng.  They care about the perfection in Eng (even in talking), sports, music and everything.  Students having good overall results are already very top students in most traditional school.
How can everything be perfect!
If you child is smart and obedient and you don't mind studying with her under pressure, DGJS is definitely a very good school.  This is my ideal school also!  Although my elder daughter is not admitted, I will try for my younger daughter.
I tends not to try Int'l school on the other hand because I am worry about the open cutural and there's no chance to turn back if you find it not suitable for your child.

Girls in DGJS are encouraged to use English at all times except during Chinese lessons. Quite a lot of homework in "English" is sentence-making. Girls will grow to think in English instead of Chinese, which will help their oral English, spelling and grammar, and vice versa.
