可給我點意見嗎? i am a two kids mum, the elder one is 4 yr and the younger one is 2 yr .

1. be full time mum, just sometimes go out to do part time, most time can take care of them, but the younger one cannot go to N1 because no more money.

2. go to do full time job. the younger one go to full time N1 school. the elder one state at home in the morning and go to school in the afternoon. so the elder one take care by the bun bun helper with no more communicate just like me.

do you think go to N1 is so important?

For my daughter who is 6 years old now, she did not go to N1 because I do not want her to go to school so early and get the diseases very easy.

And I have bought her some materials so that she can learn English and some simple chinese characters at home. Besides, I have bought her some educational toys. I found that the results are good. I think that as long as you can teach her somethings, especially you are full time mom, you can let 2-year kid stay at home. Or you can use the materials from the kinder of your elder child.

I still remember my daughter can recognize the shapes, English letters and numbers, etc. at the time of 3 years old and can catch up the kinder very easy.

If you want your kids to go to some famous schools, I think that going to N1 is a must nowadays. Otherwise, staying at home with you is the best choice for such a young kid (some educationists said that mother is the first and the best teacher for the child, which will affect their whole life.

Please consider again.

我小朋友而家2歲,都係明年才入讀k1.
沒有讀2歲班.

其實無乜特別原因,只是我唔想小朋友太早讀書,
個人認為讀書生活好漫長,
我亦冇特別"操fit"小朋友英文,
在家中我地係全中文溝通,
所以小朋友在語言發展同接收方面都ok,
一般2-3句長句子佢都冇問題.全句子對答已一段時間.

平日我會同佢出街,去下公園踢下波,
坐下巴士,小巴,有時去睇飛機,睇下船,坐下火車,
天氣唔好就行下商場,難聽d講句,日日都係玩......
我覺在唔同ge環境,都可以學到好多野ge.

其都有人問我,會唔會怕小朋友比人遲返,會學少好多野?
我又唔會介意ge!每個人ge諗法都唔同,自己鍾意未得囉!
到要入學時,就冇得咁自由,話玩就玩ga la.
所以而家玩得開心d先啦.

I'm also 2 kids full time ma ma, but i let my little son go to nursury when he was 2, because i really need time for doing housework & for myself.

However, u must remember that, 小朋友最幸福係stay with ma ma all the time!

If u ask my little son, i'm surely he will choose stay at home with me rather than go to kindergarden.

i am not a full time mami.....so, my baby just be with my maid all the time. SO, I plan to send my baby to PN class next mth ( she will be 2 yr old this mth).....

I am a bit worry about her getting sick when go to school....however, I want she can have more chance to meet people....I think it must better than sitting with the maid whole day long....I dont have chance to teach her....so, I choose to put her in PN class....i hope she can enjoy!

我要返工, 平時都係比婆婆揍, 收工接返. 我有比小朋友讀半日 n1, 我小朋友本身抵抗力唔錯, 所以都冇話成日病, so far 都未請過病假. 我覺得佢返學好開心, 成日會自己在屋企扮老師上課, 又會將學校學的東西返屋企做一次, 所以我唔認為咁早返學係一件慘事. 不過我覺得始終有啲東西真係要師先做到的. 舉個例子, 我囡初初識講嘢時有啲音發得唔正, 我當佢係仲細未掌握到, 到真係返學初期, 都仲係唔正, 我先同佢改, 但係一路都改唔到, 於是我同老師講, 結果係同老師講完之後的第二日我就已經發現亞囡所有發錯的音都啱返晒, 而且老師用的方法係同我用的方法完全一樣添. 如果我冇比佢讀 n1, 可能我教到今日佢都係讀唔到.

I am still very confuse whether I should send my son to nursery or not. In fact, I have only applied Victoria since he is attending the playgroup now. My son is now 1 yr 8 m now and I think I am late to apply for 2 yr class in Sept. My wife and me need to work in day time and he is staying at home with the maid but so far he seems to be quite happy. Is it really that neceaary to attend school so early in Hong Kong?

好同意你既講法.雖然有少少無為而治, 未必有好多人會認同!!

好多家長都有一個想法就係想仔女贏在起跑線上, 尤其見好大部份人都咁樣做時,自己仔女唔學驚會輸蝕. 其實讀書真係一條好漫長既路, 起跑慢左, 唔代表追唔上..好多人覺得小朋友係屋企玩係好浪費時間, 但其實, 佢地係玩過程中係不斷咁學野, 佢個腦部係不停地轉緊, 只係你唔知佢諗緊咩!

唔讀 N

我大囡讀過NURSERY, 一半時間都係請病假, 好肉赤 (白交學費 & bb 辛苦), 放完暑假番 k1 一樣日日喊, 又要重新適應過...

細囡而家兩歲, 我唔比佢讀 NURSERY 啦! 2010年9月先比佢讀K1, 等佢做大B.

大囡剛上小一, 好辛苦o架! 哎 ... 6歲前一定要比佢地玩多D, 來日方長呀!

反而我覺得返nursery係好重要!因為細路學習群體生活的需要,唔係在家可以訓練出來!在幼兒園裏,小朋友可以學習下自主及自理能力,不用依賴照顧者的生活, 亦可以學習與其他人相處及溝通的技巧!如果小朋友在k1前可以學習到呢d技巧,k1返學時先可以專心學習!
其實佢地返n1都係開心咁玩,只不過係多左小朋友一齊玩!一d壓力都無!
我相信3歲定80的道理.....課本知識就幾時學都得(其實我地都學緊),但係學習興趣,技能及群體生活就要盡快學會!

I tend to agree with sara. I will also send my baby to pre-nursery class this Sept. The key objective is to strengthen his socialization skill. He can make more friends in his age group, and getting ready for K1. I've enrolled half day class for him so that he can still have a free afternoon for taking a nap or go to the playgroup with my parents. I buy the learn-through-playing concept. I hope this gives him a good start with his school life and trigger his interests and initiatives to learn!

我係全職媽媽...所以無打算比仔仔返2歲班...只係幫佢報唔同類型既PLAYGROUP...一樣可以接觸到唔同既人...所以決定3歲至開始比仔仔返學...

我個仔仔而家返緊2個Playgroup...其中1個係返幼稚園...主要學習生字同畫圖畫...另1個返私人搞既...主要親子遊戲...呢2個Playgroup2月尾會完成...但唔會再報...會試下其他類型...

so so happy to see this topic.. just question myself do i need to send bb to nursury.. my bb is 18mths now.. i thought it is to late to apply nursury for coming sept.. i don't want bb to be in class 5 days/week.. any playgroup suggest for 1or 2 days/week?

my bb is attending gym once a week.. only for playing and learn to play w/ other bb.. he enjoy

我都係決定唔比亞B返N1, 我都聽過朋友話佢小朋友幾乎成日生病, 請病假多過返學, 現在寧可同佢一齊返親子班, 有我睇實放心d, K1一定要返學架lar, 一入學就唔停, 不如現在同亞B開開心心朝夕相對玩多年先返學 !

我都決定吾讀N1。playgroup 的teacher/tudent ratio 低好多﹐同老師close d﹐照顧得好d﹐交流多d﹐孩子亦會多了信心開口說話﹐我又喜歡可以選擇陪孩子上課 (因為我在家工作﹐而且全都在下午四點後)。我個仔適應力強﹐紀律性高﹐返過不同的playgroup﹐當中有幼兒園辦的playgroup﹐就像返幼稚園的形式﹐他都很快跟得上﹐每個老師他都喜歡。

我個仔半歲開始返playgroup﹐返過5-6間不同的教育機構。最近我返普通話playgroup0個度(近炮台山地鐵站)﹐係一個好大規模的兒童教育中心﹐最近新建了兩個大課室﹐有給2-3歲及4-5歲﹐每週上2/3/5天(每次2.5hours)的playgroup。

2-3歲班的師生比例好低﹐最多5個小朋友(每個小朋友要一位大人陪同)。我個仔下個月剛好兩歲﹐我同佢交左學費﹐價錢合理﹐按月收費。每科老師都是專門的(英﹐數﹐音﹐美﹐體)﹐每天三節課﹐每節課45min﹐課堂之間有5-10min break﹐還有﹐他們全是native English speakers﹐還有來自英國的西人老師當master teacher﹐即是兩位老師對最多五個小朋友。所以我現在好期待開課的那天。

但由於這所教育中心多年來完全不作對外宣傳﹐全靠口碑招來過千名會員﹐這個即將開辦的playgroup 的專用課室(連校務處)和課程也是剛剛落成和落實﹐所以平日早上的班還未滿。

我好想可以開得成班﹐三月開始上課﹐因為我地而家返緊九龍塘一個English playgroup﹐2 days /week﹐上左一個term, 上埋呢個月就吾再上了, 所以好想呢個playgroup可以順利開課﹐所以在這裡介紹一下﹐希望多d人知道﹗

呢間機構好重信譽﹐我覺得他們很用心design個課程﹐我個仔上開普通話﹐我都覺得好滿意﹐所以我相信這個playgroup都應該不會令我失望吧
